01/08/2006 | Missy is not particularly creative, in my opinion, she works with creative people. Timbaland is the creative mastermind behind her beats. She had the luck of hooking up with one of the best hip hop producers of our time. Her outifts are desinged by Versace or Gucci or some other great creative mastermind. Her choreographer creates those wonderful dance sequences. Her only job is to come up with lyrics and, I am sorry but they have got to the be the worst lyrics I have ever heard in my life. I am not speaking against her sexually explicit lyrics because damn near every artist has them, subtle or not. The only thing she seems to do with her lyrics is make sure that that rhyme. Here is an example...."I feel the wind; 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10; Begin ; I sit on hills like Lauren;" or even " Me, I'm so hot, myself be so hot." Forgive me, but that is not talent. Missy is an entertainer, there is not talent behind her lyrics.

03/19/2003 | I don't understand why everyone made such a big deal about some of the lyrics in "Give it Away Now" by The Red Hot Chili Peppers for being explicit. When in the song "Hot Boyz", Missy makes obvious references to oral sex.

03/12/2003 | She could be a great artist because she and her videos are very creative. But the woman has absolutely nothing to say. It's a bunch of nonsense. Only 8 to 15 year old would say she is great. No one I know, including those who like her rap product, have any idea what any of her songs are saying. All they ever say is "I like the beat, she was wearing a bad ass hair style, etc." Her material is about NOTHING that makes any sense. And she knows this! I'm no Marshal Mathers fan, but the white boy at least be talking bout intelligent, real stuff, in a thoughtful, creative way. Now if Missy performed syllables like MandM's title cut from 8 Mile, and added her visual and studio skills, she would be the best out there ...period. But she'd rather do goofy, bulls**t rap with catchy music and video. Hey, it makes her more money than I make!!!!!

03/04/2003 | I'm beginning to wonder what has happened to music. Now, I was born in the mid-80s, but I listen to mainly 50s, 60s and early 70s music. But, whenever I hear almost any modern music, I just cringe, wince and if its really bad--get nauseous. This person's lyrics are very bad, especially for young women. The lyrics in her song, "Work it" especially, talk about how sexually "loose" she is and how other girls should be. What's worse is there are no radio ratings or standards, so its just there on the airwaves to be heard by anyone...young or old...
