She's OK, but I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.Personally, I like Skyla Burrell better.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZdnKM8t1Rghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C88bP_sXa88http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhbStVeLimw

When I first heard Susan Tedeschi on the radio years ago, singing tracks from her debut album, Just Won't Burn, I was blown away. This chick was smokin'! Seldom have I so immediately been taken with a new talent. I bought the CD at the first opportunity. (I still like that album better than the next one I bought, Wait for Me.)To me she sounded (and still does) like a cross between Janis Joplin and Bonnie Raitt, with maybe some Etta James thrown in. (I've since read that Joplin and Raitt were important influences for her.) She's a better vocalist than Stevie Ray Vaughn, though not nearly so good a guitarist, but they both have/had the same energy, driving rhythm, and instinctive gut sense of the blues. She's become a major performer on the blues scene, thankfully, so we'll hear more from her for a long time. My kind of music!

Great voice, but her guitar work is over-rated, and her albums have been inconsistant. I've seen her live and she's an excellent performer, but I don't think she's any better than average on a list like this.

Her break out CD was great but her big label one left me wanting a lot more.

The voice of and old blueswoman and guitar playing like Stevie Ray Vaughn. I was introduced to Susan Tedeschi when she opened for John Mellencamp about three years ago. She blew him off the stage! This woman is awesome! Given time, she should go down as another one of the blues greats.

Susan Tedeschi really gets the blues. She knows where it comes from and how to belt it out. She's got the soul of an old-timer, but she's fresh outta nowhere. Her voice is edgy and strong and her guitar playing rocks. Gives me faith that we'll still be hearing great blues even after the departure of masters like Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Howling Wolf, et al. Definitely a welcome new star.

A fresh face for Blues music. I love her raspy voice and the mean guitar. Go Susan!
