Not my favorite, but Garth has done a lot for country music. He's a likeable, down-home kind of guy who has given country music the kind of face people seem to relate to.

I like his new song, he is a money grubber.

I can't think of enough bad things to say about this (so-called) singer. Makes me want to heave my guts out everytime he comes on the radio. Is there anyone phonier in music today? MONEY MONEY MONEY, that's all he wants. I keep reading about all the talent he (supposedly) has, but what and where is it? I have never seen any such talent. Unless you call being able to suck up to millions of gullible record buying people who have more money than sense a talent, well then, there you go.

I agree with Sparky and thesexyone that Garth Brooks's personal life is nobody's business and has nothing to do with his music. As for his music, well, he's certainly been a great commercial success in the past and probably will be again.

Loved his early stuff, but he lost it for me after Ropin the Wind. Also the "Chris Gaines" thing just makes no sense to me & I didn't like the Gaines music either.

A "Corporate"country-music artist who sings from his bankbook where artists like Johnny Cash, and Merle Haggard sang from their hearts.

Garth is the most awsume singer! He has so much talent! I absolutly love his songs! I have so many of his CDs and i think that they are really great! Has he ever made a really bad song!

WONDERFUL!!!!! He will be at the top of country's history. His words, music, shows and messages all come together to provide everyone with something. Our generations answer to the pioneers of the 50's and 60's.

I have followed Garth since 1990. I have read all of the ratings on here, and some of the more hateful ones make me so sad. What does his marriage have to do with his music talent? And I loved Chris Gaines! Garth, growing up, liked bands like Kiss. I am proud of Garth for having the guts to try something different, even when he knew he would lose fans over it. A short while back, Garth saved two guys get out of a burning house. This man has terrific heart. I am sad that he stopped touring. I got to see him perform in Kansas City. It was a great show! Garth even sounded a bit under the weather. It way day 5 of his concert series in Kansas City, and he still performed as if it was his first night. He went all around the stage and gave people their money's worth! Garth, I love ya! Even when no one else seems to, I love ya, babe! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

Garth Brokks weas symbolic of everything wrong with new(turd) country. The Nashville suits started sending out pretty clones in pretty clothes, singing pretty songs. Songwriting went out the window and could only be found amongst the fringe and outlaws. Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash couldn't even get signed if they had come along in the eighties or nineties. The only qualifications you need these days is to be able to say "caint" and a lack of nerves when it comes time to take the garbage songs they hand you to play. There is a lot of good country music around, but it's not the corporate, safe crap Nashville is dispensing like Pez. You want good country? Go check out Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, Stevie T. aka Stevie Tombstone.. Go get Chris Knight's self-titled debut, which is out of print because no one knew what to do with a country artist who had an edge and wrote his own damn songs. Someone came along and took the misery and woe out of country music. It's a dame shame. Now they feed you Sears catalog models with a twang and you eat it up because you can't remember what real meat tastes like anymore. Why don't you try Matthew Ryan, Bap Kennedy, Slobberbone or Anna Fermin's Trigger Gospel out. Country music still exists...you just don't hear it on our modern billboard, the radio.

Garth Brooks is without doubt the most talented artist ever. With regard to his personal life, I don't think we have the right to poke our noses in. He has always been honest (music & marriage) and we all know someone who's marriage didn't work, did we hassle or judge them. NO. I sincerly hope Garth does not retire from the music scene all together. Can't wait for his new album & plenty more after that????

His songs strike a never every time I listen to them. He has an uncanny ability to deliever the message of his song in a way like no other. One of the greats.

Garth Brooks as a musician will go down in history as being one of the greatest artists of all time, however as a man he no longer rates in my book. Hey for those people who think that their personal lives do not matter, well when they parade their lives in front of us (the public) why can't we form an opinion? Especially when you do not agree. I do not know anything about his separation from his wife and 3 girls but think it is a disgrace!!! What an example set for the world!???

I've listened and watched Garth Brooks, from the beginning. It was Garth that pointed my way to country music. Watching Garth in concert went beyon exciting.....Garth would have received 5 stars from me if it weren't for Chris Gaines...

He is the greatest country singer of all time!!! His past or personal life does not affect my opinion of him, and it should not. deb0564 is wrong. Garth is and always will be great and I would rather not know his personal life. He can do what he wants to do. I have no problem with that. His albums are the greatest and they always will be.

I really love Garth Brooks, but am very disappointed in his decision about divorcing his wife. She has carried him through and supported him even in years past when he admited having lots of extramartial affairs. I am discouraged over the rumors or Garth and Trisha, and if they prove to be true, I will not buy either of their music. These people need to set good examples. Not examples that it's okay to play around, and when you're tired of who you are married to, regardless of children, hey trade them in for someone new. Sad.....It will defintely affect rather or not I purchase anything put our by him again. I also, know a lot of other people who feel the same way. So Wise Up Garth!!!!! The Life of Chris Gaines is a terrific album showcasing the great musical talent of Garth Brooks. I love how the songs included show the biographical progression of Chris' life and I think that the pictures of Chris are pretty sexy! Thank you Garth for giving us this other side of you music. LOL

Garth is the end all and be all of country music. His concerts were awesome and his music is first rate. I especially like his new son When You Come Back To Me Again, which is the best hes done.

5 Stars and then 5 more! The BEST of the BEST. He's like the energizer bunny... just keeps going and going and going and going....... Gives 110% in concert and well worth every penny spent and every minute standing in line. AWESOME!

Garth Brooks is fantastic. I started listening to his 'Chris' music and it introduced me to the most beautiful voice out there - Garth. Now I can't get enough of Garth's music. It is amazing how much heart he puts into his songs.

Garth Brooks is a great performer, but he needs to write more of his own music.
