This is a mistake. She is not country.

her songs are country but her personality is all rock.there is a fine line between country and rock music and it seems that so many people seem to be crossing that line k.d. is one of them. i thought she was rock too but i have seen her on the top 40 COUNTRY female list something for the best country singers. i guess you can never be sure.

Her voice is wondeful!

Honestly, she has a pretty good voice, and it's certainly powerful. She also has a commanding presence onstage. The problem is, she's such an oddball sometimes. It's no secret she's a lesbian, which I certainly don't condone, but besides that, she just acts like she's from another planet when she's onstage.

My rating is based on her early releases, because I agree that she's not country anymore (and this IS a country category!). Her voice is amazing, and the emotional power in many of her songs is impressive. "Crying", with Roy Orbison, was memorable.

When I listen to music I like to hear a good singing voice, K.D. has a very good voice.She can really belt out a song.I do not always like the songs she chooses to sing.I think it is unfair to judge her for her personal life. I listen to music because of the songs they sing I like and because they have a good voice.What they do in their personal life is their business.

Don't like her music.

k.d. lang is definitely not country anymore. She is an exceedingly fine and versatile musician. Just take a look at the session musicians that play with her. Great ear, great voice, incredible lyrics.
