An awesome vocalist, a passionate song writer, and my personal favourite, a supporter of Amatuer Motocross, and Women's MX, for over 30 years. This woman is a peach. My grandparents were fans, and when it was time, I inherited their old records, and really, she's one of few artists I enjoy listening to on vinyl more than CD (I'm not some crazy "vinyl is god!" nut either). Something about her voice and her words, it's just made better with the crackle of the record player. Perhaps more authetic, older. Either way, stand up gal. And for those of you who say she's ugly, who are you to talk? Really now, with all the airbrushed supersluts of music today, how come everyone needs to be hot? Aren't the Lindsay Lohans, Paris Hiltons and other over sexualized, subpar bimbos enough? Talent, in and of itself, is sexy, not the other way around.

I'm not necessarily a huge fan of Loretta Lynn, but she is very talented, and some of her songs are great. Her duets with Conway Twitty somehow seemed to make them both better.

While sometimes I feel Loretta Lynn is way too dramatic, I absolutely love her songs and her singing. She is a true legend in country music...

How can anyone give Loretta anything less than 5 stars? Her honesty is unbelievable and just one of the many things that make her so easy to identify with. Loretta doesn't place herself up on a pedestal. You HAVE to love her!

Loretta lynn is fantastic. The only thing i feel bad about is her not being able to spend more time with all of her children. She is a wonderful person. So many of her songs bring tears to my eyes, She really knows how to put music on paper. She spent alot of time on the road and was hardly ever home. I know that really had to be hard on her and her whole family. I would love to know where to get her books, I have watched coal miners daughter so any times i have it memorised now,LOL

Loretta Lynn is the most wonderful person in the whole world to me .As for singers no one even compares to her , her voice is one of a kind . The greatest day that I'll never forget is I finally got to see her live in consert at Billy Bobs in March 2003, I can say one thing she is as good in person as she is singing on her records .Loretta Lynn I'll always look up to you ,their is no other or will their ever be another that can even compare to you .Thank you so much for your music and books .Most of all thank you for not changing through the years, you have never pretended to be anyone else, but most of all we always know without a dought you are always you ! The fans who love you most can always depend on you .We Love You . P.S. Happy Birthday Loretta !!!!!

There's nothing I like better than when my fiancee sings Loretta songs to me.

Loretta Lynn. One of the great voices in any genre. A wit and a character with character. Completely real, unlike the label creations being marketed to country music fans today. I would trade all the Faiths, Shanias, Martinas, etc to hear Loretta on the radio again. Todays country girls aren't worthy to sing backup for a lady of Loretta's caliber. "Still Country" is her best album ever, and I can't wait for the new one coming out this year. God Bless the Queen of Country, Loretta Lynn. Long Live the Queen.

Loretta UNDERSTANDS...

She has a good singing voice and a talent for writing some of her own songs. I think she is a real inspiration with her rags to riches life.I read both of the books she has written about her life and she is really an interesting person. I like quite a few of her songs.

Loretta Lynn is a living legend. You cannot think of country music and not think of Loretta. A beautiful, talented lady.

One of my all time favorites. When I was little, my mom would put on several of those 33 1/3 lp's and they would play all day long while she did laundry and cleaned the house. That's where I learned to appreciate good country music and especially Loretta Lynn. Her voice was so pure and clear and she was a very underrated writer too. She spoke up about a lot of issues too, and got banned from a lot of stations for speaking her mind. This conceivably could have ruined her career, but she said she didn't care. If she quit selling records, she could always go home and grow her own garden and raise kids. That was her attitude, and I admire her for that.

A true country voice. Opinionated, strong, true to her "Butcher Holler" Baptist roots; Loretta Lynn is a member of country music's Old Guard and is one of the few voices that speak up for her political beliefs (the only disconcerting note is she supports the Re-smug-licans). Gracious and honest to a fault. Strong family roots. She and he husband, Moondog, were grandparents by the time she was 32. Her music reflects values I can appreciate: family, faith in the face of uncertainty, acceptance of self and love and tolerance for others. My kind of person.

Lorreta Lynn is truly one of the Queens of Country. Her life story is like the proverbial Country Song, and she fought hard to reach stardom. She is gifted as a singer as well as a kind and determined person.

She is a great lady & a great singer. She fought her way to the top.
