Merle Haggard is truly a legend in country music. A master of songs about hard times, such as "If We Make it Through December", but also a talented if somewhat underrated performer of more uplifiting songs, such as "Natural High."

A true Country music living legend. I saw him perform live twice and it was unforgetable. And he's Californian!!

There is no living country music entertainer that can come close to Merle. The songs he sings are from life's realities and some of his own experiences. It is no wonder he is referred to as The Poet Of The Common People

For my money, the best singer-songwriter combination ever.

The man man is made of rock and steel. He's one of the toughest, most independent legends around. He paid his dues and wrote some incredible music. He always sings me back home.
