One of the greatest traditional country singers left. His voice is unique, and since he's gone more gospel, he's setting new records there as he did in the country genre. Three Wooden Crosses is excellent!!!

Randy Travis is one of the geatest story telling country singers of all time! He isn't just a singer,he is a stylist.I love every thing Randy has ever recorded. He has moved over to gospel music and he is even more stunning vocally, singing these kind of lyrics. His recent chart topping hit Three Wooden Crosses is another of his enduring story songs. The album that song can be found on, Rise And Shine has just hit it's 81st consectutive week on Billboards top country albums chart.Randy keeps it country, Whether he is singing gospel or traditional. That is to be admired, when not many acts today do so, beyond their first hit album.

I recognize Randy Travis's contributions to country music. He is definitely of the older, twangier sounding kind, which may be a good thing. I personally do not find his voice all that pleasing. I like a couple of his songs, but that's just about it. There are other country artists I'd rather listen too then Randy Travis.

I think he has the best voice out of any male vocalist around- very soothing.

After the first couple of years that he hit it big, I could barely stand to listen to Randy Travis. He was all you heard on the radio, and all the awards shows felt in necessary to give him everything imaginable. Now that he's faded away a little bit, I can appreciate his music better. There are still some songs that I don't care very much for, but there are quite a few good ones too, like Forever and Ever, Amen, Deeper Than the Holler, On the Other Hand, and Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart.

He sounds like he is whining. Don't even like the songs he records.
