Boy if you considered the work of Bob Goldthwait, Sam Kinison, Andrew Dice Clay, Sinbad and Gilbert Gottfried you could make a pretty convincing argument that the 1980's was the least funny decade in history.

I've got to disagree with my colleague twansalem here, who states that Mr. Goldthwait is "funny in small doses"

With respect, there is no dose small enough to make Bob Goldthwait funny.

He's funny in small doses, but I'm not sure I'd want to see a whole show.

Bob Cat used to be very funny but he has lost his edge over the years, he should stick to standup and walk a way from acting.

Ho-hum. I understand this guy is supposed to be a comic, but I've never seen him be funny in any of his performances. What gives?

I always loved Bobcat Coldthwait in the Police Academy movies. But that is about where it stops. His voice and act is wonderful if it is coupled with material that is wonderful. I saw him on an interview once and it is like he doesn’t know where to draw a line. I felt sorry for the person conducting the interview because it basically went no where. That interview WAS annoying, but in the movies he was great.

Admittedly, movie acting just isn't his strong suit. But as a comedian he's witty, sharp, and completely underrated. Watch his stand-up. You'll see.

All he does is scream and talk as though he has an adenoid problem. For me, this spells obnoxious not funny. I have never laughed at him once and don't understand how he qualifies as anything more than an oddity...certainly not a comedian.

Bobcat Godlthwait hasn't done anything right in his career. He started doing the Police Academy movies when they were doing it around #3, and he was a total mess in that series, he was a pot-smoking character that wasn't funny at all. Other credits are Scrooged starring Bill Murray.

Very funny and timely at his best. A true comedic genius at his best. Somewhat out of control. Uncompromising. No sacred cows to him.

Anyone who thinks that this guy is funny should have his head examined. It must be rough when the shining moment of your career is being cast in the Police Academy sequals.

Bobcat Goldthwait is a great comedian, it is a shame that he is not seen in very lately, Hollywood should rediscover his talents.
