 | Spike65 (16) 08/23/2008 | His standup routine was consistently funny. His work on SNL was spotty at best and he has done very little since. Too bad I say.

 | angryjed (2) 12/24/2007 | if you like dry-wit and perfect comedic timing then Norm's your guy. Otherwise you'll probably hate him.

 | ralph vincent (0) 04/21/2005 | his snl stuff was just ok, but his standup routines were beyond hilarious. literally made my stomach sore from laughing out so hard. maybe he didn't reach his potential or expectations, but he's a very funny guy.

 | LadyShark4534 (12) 11/05/2003 | Did any of you guys hear what he said about homicide and rape victum Teena Brandon?
After this woman was raped and killed, He defended her killers and cracked jokes at the case because Teena was a lesbian.
What a heartless individual.

 | callmetootie (5) 12/04/2002 | His Weekend Update thing on SNL was hilarious, but otherwise...he's just an annoying and loud comedian.

 | LeMat (0) 12/01/2002 | The great part about Norm is his ability to connect with an audience on a level most other comedians only hint at. Most comedians are a show on stage; Norm's a funny guy on a platform.
<p>
His writing style is the real key to his success. He doesn't recycle the same ten jokes, substituting subject, object, and order the way so many other comedians do. We're never subjected to hearing about his nagging wife or confused children, his take on peculiar teenagers or modern political issues. This is a man that truly brings the funny. Sure, his delivery's dry. He's a terrible actor! The best part is, though, that he knows it and takes advantage of it at every turn. He makes himself likeable by breaking that theatrical "fourth wall" and all but admitting he's delivering lines, and he makes himself memorable by writing for an audience that's heard it all. Kudos!

 | CastleBee (88) 02/01/2001 | The one thing I saw him do - the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz - was hilarious. I'll reserve a Great rating though until I see more.

 | jasonjt (0) 12/17/2000 | From his show Norm to his movie Dirty Work, Norm MacDonald proves he is one of the funniest comedians in the 90's. His voice is calm, yet his facial expressions show his emotions. His acting skills are great and he has no problem with making a skit into a real life situation. Norm makes his shows and his movies appealing to teenagers.

 | B Boy (0) 12/11/2000 | His shows and movies are great. When watching TV, I'd much rather see witty humor than staged acting. Unlike old shows like Full House or Perfect Strangers, Norm talks about issues of today.

 | mickm (0) 12/10/2000 | Norm is funny. I like his style of comedy. He's real slick. His facial expressions are hilarious. When he's being sarcastic it's hilarious. I loved him on Saturday Night Live, he is so funny. I just start to laugh when I see him, because I'm expecting to hear something funny.

 | acar (0) 11/17/2000 | Another great SNL alumnus. Similar style to Adam Sandler, the obnoxious drunk, stupid, working class hero.

 | Munson (8) 08/28/2000 | Norm is one weird dude, but pretty damn funny. I can understand why some people don't find him funny. He is crude and is not afraid to take shots at people. It is for exactly that reason that I like him. He is at his best on talk shows. For example, he appeared on Dennis Miller's millenium HBO show and, for each segment he was in, he seemed to be preoccupied with slipping in the pejorative for the male private parts as often as possible. Definitely not for everyone, but I couldn't help laughing.

 | Wiggum (17) 11/26/1999 | Why the hell did they boot Norm MacDonald off Saturday Night Live? He was the one of the only consistently funny cast members, and he did a great job with the news. This idiot they got to replace him - Colin Quinn - is so bad I have to change channels when he's on. I haven't seen the Norm Show, but I've heard it's terrible, which makes it even more painful that SNL tore Norm out of a great situation and sent him packing.
