Great on singing but nutty on politics

you would like it if you are over 50!

I have been an admirer of La Streisand for many years. Her public persona, I believe, is nothing close to reality and that seems a shame, but her voice continues to astound and is as captivating as it first was 47 years ago. Who else in entertainment has maintained the same range? Not Ella, not Peggy Lee, not Rosemary Clooney. They all went elsewhere with their musical style when their voices began to diminish. Not Barbra. My concern now is that she does not look well and I wish her well. With a trainer for the last 27 years, and all the money to maintain the illusion of agelessness it isn't happening. I think something is terribly wrong.

With a hooter like that, how else is she gonna sound I guess. Worse still is the abject standard of her easy listening material although there is nothing easy in trying to sit through one of her songs.

Her singing is as horrible as what she calls a nose. Even Michael Jackson's nose looks better. Also, she's opinionated, which is always a huge turn off. Sure, everyone has opinions, but I don't try to force them down people's throats like she does. What a horrible life she must have.

She's good, but a little overrated. I always thought her voice was a little too nasal. I have a few of her CD's that I enjoy listening to.

Good singer. So-so actress. Allowed her politics to overshadow her creative work. By vehemently exercising her free speech rights, she allowed the world to see through the veneer of perfection and into a hypocritical and judgemental soul.

This pig is so out of touch with reality and she has the nerve to post commments about the President on her website? She should be embarrased to be associated with a liar, a cheater, and a criminal like Bill Clinton, but maybe that's because she is one or all of the aforementioned.

I suspect that if Barbra was a right-wing apple-pie conservative, if she appeared at Bush rallies and was a member of Dr. Dobson's Focus on the Family congregation, a lot of the people who have posted here spewing bile and ranting on about how much they hate her guts would be down at her feet, praising her as an American treasure and a cultural icon.

Most overated performer of all time, I can't stand her. I don't believe all the hype her voice is not that great. I will not even go into her looks or politics.

Perhaps the most overrated celebrity of our time. She ranks with Zsa Zsa Gabor, basicly just being famous for being famous, no reason. The one thing that puzzles me about her is she's a Jewish American and she despises George Bush. That seems like the biggest contradiction to me, Bush is Israels' greatest friend, his approval rating is near 90 % in Israel. They know he is the leader that will keep their country safe from the likes of Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq.

Barbra Streisand's no beauty, but there are uglier folks in the world. At least she can sing, pippyboy, and makes some contribution to the world. Abraham Lincoln was probably our least attractive president, and people made fun of him, too. He became one of our greatest and most beloved presidents. I have no problem giving her credit as a fine actress and an accomplished singer. However Ms Steisand, along with many others in the entertainment industry seem to feel that being able to act or carry a tune somehow empowers them with insight above and beyond that of the average citizen.

Streisand's music has been dwarfed by her politics, which are way out there in left field. It's interesting that how this billionaire charges exhorbitant prices for her concerts (that common people can't afford) and flies around in her private jet while she complains how Republicans can't relate to the poor.

It's amazing how someone could bash Republicans for being rich elitists and then turn around and charge $350 for tickets to her "exclusive" concert.
