Above-average Sci-Fi fare.  The sun is dying so a team of scientists with a beeeg bomb are going to fly into the sun to re-ignite it.  Simple premise.  A few plot holes exist and the ending has a few problems for me- but the overall atmosphere and look of the film kept me watching. 

Sunshine is a pretty good sci-fi flick.  With a sun that's running out of juice and the earth stuck in a nuclear winter, a team of eight astronauts pilot a massive atomic bomb towards the sun in an effort to jumpstart the sun's rays.  On the way, all sorts of things go wrong, and folks start to crack under the strain.

I felt that the movie could have done a bit more - especially towards the end - with the psychological drama of how folks would handle themselves knowing that they are their civilization's last chance at survival, and knowing that they are probably going to die.

Overall, this is a well-made, enjoyable film with surprisingly good acting.  If you like Sci Fi, you should check it out.
