I like his music and could care less about how he looks or acts. Image doesnt mean squat so long as the songs are good, and his songs are ok.

What a joke this band is. A class act idiot he is, and his sick act of shreding the Bible at his shows, "shows" what a real moron he is,  I love to rock, but this is pure satanic filth, and from the pitts of hell.

I never really cared for the guy or his crazy image - if you ask me it takes way to much time and caring to put on all the make up and dress that way.  Either way, some of his songs have always poped into my head at random times (beutifull people, tainted love..) so i thought id get his new album "Eat me, Drink me".  Iv listened to it a lot this past week and i love it.  I really enjoy the direction he has taken with this album.   The lyrics are very dark and depressing while at the same time the beats are very up beat and catchy.  If you are on here saying that he has no talent then you really havent heard enough of his music or seen his art work.  For the most part, the people on here rating him badly have never owned his cd's.

The unusual look and even more unusual behavior could not hide the fact that this person has absolutely NO talent.  What's even worse is that after all the makeup comes off and he's out of the public eye, he's just an ordinary joe-blow laughing all the way to the bank.

For all the clueless Hypocrites out there, this is just a guy named Brian from Ohio, who's picked up on some of the easiest ways to push society's buttons (for which I'm greatly enthused); planned, packaged, and sold with the alacrity you'd expect from any entrepreneur. The next logical step that Alice Cooper wouldn't and (due to technological constraints) couldn't take, Marilyn's act casts a translucent eye upon the cracked foundations that support convention and custom (and of those who end up mangled and marginalized in the well-oiled gears). His earlier stuff was bracing (the opulent rage of "Lunchbox" should be a rite of passage); ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR sharpened the focus through more-attentive production layering, but the notoriety started the erosion process; MECHANICAL ANIMALS was overly-reliant on synthesizers (still ominously pleasing, though), which muddied the trail and left fans wondering. Still puts on an evisceral live show (with Bible-waving alarmists as a parking-lot bonus), but needs a scathing release to keep from fading into game shows and golf tournaments. Even if the ride's over, he's done a commendable public service in reminding us not to surrender our senses for the sake of conformity.

People are jeolous of Christians because they think that christians are stuck up and all. I know this Im not stupid. I believe in God and it is not because I am afraid to die because I am not afraid to die because I believe in God. In my opinion some of you are opposite, people who do not believe in God should be afraid to die because their afterlife has no meaning or purpose. Do you unbderstand what I am saying? Some people live by faith believing in what you cannot see because you know that the world had to have been made and had come to existance. I have exp miracles in my life and that is how I know for a fact that their is a God and some people believe in God by their faith. Athiests are really afraid of dying and someone telling them their faith after death so they would rather die and not be remembered and be forgotten for iternity. their life is meaningless and they are jeolous of christians and hate their life. Every athiest I have ever met hated their life and that is why they didn't believe in God. The majority of people that actually like Marylin Mansons image is because they are athiests and are afraid to believe in a God because of what will happen to them. Faith has been hard for me because it used to be hard believing in something that you cannot see and it is more hard believing in God then not believing because you know that one day you are going to be judged for everytihng that you did on earth. So yes it is scarier believing in God then not believing in him. Athiest think that christians are afraid of death but that is not true, it is that atheist are afraid of death. I know for a fact that their is a God because of true miracles in my life and knowing one day that I am going to meet god is scarry but it seems as some people want to like Marilyn Mansons image because they think it pisses christians off and they want to make christians mad. Why do they want to make christians mad I don't know and I wish someone will explain that one to me. It does not make me mad by far and it doesn't make since to me. Most atheist I have seen wair all black and wear heavy chains, etc and I want to know why they can't wair normal clothes and be athiest? I think it is because they think they look bad and are not good enough or something and think people think a certain way about them or maybe they just want attention. I have seen people dress that way and not be athiest and It is because they just like the style, etc. Christians are not goody too shoes, christianity is a religion and Marylin Manson doesn't scare me or bother me in the least. nor do freaks or non freaks who dress all in black and think that it will scare me because it doesn't because people are just like me and you and I have met alot of people that dress all in black and look a little scary looking but be perfectly the same as me and you inside and out and have perfectly cool personalities. so just because I am a christian does not mean that I am stuck up and look at people in a certain way because I have been around so many people and I am not like that. I just don't think it is fair to make fun of christian just because of jeolousy or your own beliefs, which doesn't faise me in the least. the things in the bible are coming true in this day and time so that is more proof that their is a God (if you read the bible), chrisitans have been mocked since the begining, for their beliefs and as you can see nothing has changed. All of the things that the bible says that would happen is happening now and their is more to come. If you think about it, Is it a risk that you are willing to sacrifice? A measily 80 years on earth and iternity in heaven or to burn in hell for iternity. What kind of risk are you willing to take? To believe and have faith in God or to say I don't believe because their is not substantial proof and risk burning in hell for iternity because you dont know what is going to happen when you die. A fool would be as so stupid as to pick not to believe in God. The choice is simple and that is what we were givin is choice to decide as the right in what to believe in and I am not willing to risk it. All that you have to do is repent and say that you believe in God and accept him into your life. What is so hard in doing that? That is all that you have to do to make it in to heaven. I think alot of athiest dont want to pray to something that they can't proove to exist so that is why they will not believe and not pray because they think that God is fake and made up(like Santa) and that is why we have faith and to live by faith and believe in things that we cannot prove nor see. People have been killed because they beleive in God and if asked if they belive in God and they say yes that they will be shot if they dont give up their faith and people are such believers that they forfit their lives because it is worth going to heaven for iternity then living 60 years on earth and going to hell

This guy is brilliant. His albums have so many different layers of meanings to them- AntiChrist Superstar, for example, is not only about the Biblical Antichrist; it also discusses the rise and fall of your typical rock star, his life story, and the Uber-Christian way of thinking. Mechanical Animals is not only about literal drugs, but also about drugs we all use- God, television, celebrities, etc; and his relationship with Rose McGowan; i.e. Coma White, and he no longer knows if Coma is a girl, a drug, or just a side effect. Holy Wood is an exploration of the Kennedy assasination as well as a morality tale of the rebel Adam. It's brilliant. {And no, we Satanists do not worship Satan} For all those that think Manson is evil incarnate, download Coma White; better yet, buy Mechanical Animals. That song is beautiful. Just remember the pills and drugs aren't meant to be taken literally. You think his music is bad? Heh, you probably haven't even listened to it. His stuff is TAME compared to many black and death metal acts out there. My favorite artist.

In fact, it shouldn't even be considered music, but evidence for his arrest. It includes degrading references to supporting killing, all kinds of sexual activities, violence and more. Don't even get me started on the constant profanities his potty-mouth utters. Bring me true music like that of the Beatles, the Monkees or the Grassroots and not this madman. Say what you will about the guy, he put on the best live show I've ever seen. Showmanship has to count for something in this world. He is also too intelligent to not be in on the joke, he knows what he is, and just how stupid his most hardcore fans are. If you don't like the man, at least show some respect.

Where do I even start? UGH ! First of all, he totally relies on his IMAGE for popularity because he CANNOT sing. If you are a musician, you should at least know how to sing the song. Some of this groups songs do have meaning behind them, however, they are very negative the majority of the time, and are filled with alot of hate. And the one thing I can say is that Marily Manson should be very, very thankful for the Constitution of the United States of America. If it wasn't for this, he probably wouldn't have his popularity, as most decent people would rarely tolerate such trash. UGH !!

Okay, he's a complete wacko in serious need of some therapy. No argument here. Strange as it may seem, I do actually like a couple of his songs. I once saw him in an interview on MTV, and he wasn't an unintelligent guy, just slightly mixed up.

His music can't be celebrated at all. His interviews though are thought-provoking and interesting but it's too overpowered by his lyrics and his views. Sorry.

Most of his stuff is too heavy for me to enjoy a whole Marilyn Manson album, but his lyrics are actually quite thoughtful and are vastly better than a lot of thrash metal, nu-metal, whatever-metal that is out there. Mechanical Animals is probably his most accessible album (although fans might argue it's not indicative of most of his music) and is actually pretty good, even if you're not into the whole metal genre thing. Do not just dismiss Marilyn Manson out of hand.

I think Manson is a great artist with great business sense. With all the controversy surrounding Manson, hes always in the media and has everyones attention. Pretty smart if you ask me. I really enjoy his music and his concert was one of the best I have been too. People have to remember that its an act and just learn to enjoy the show!
