Motley Crue whether you like them or not have withstood the test of time. They are really the only band from the LA Sunset Strip that still have a fairly strong fanbase. Musicially they are up and down but some of their albums are as good as it gets in hard rock.

Good catchy songs, decent guitar riffs, this band is all that was fun about the eighties. Some of their albums are mediocre I admit, but I don't hate any of the Motley albums.

One of my favorite bands of all time. I always thought the weak spot was in the vocals with Vince Neil. Mick Mars is a vastly underrated guitarist.

Had 3/4 of a good album ('Shout at the Devil'), plus some other good singles ('Wild Side, 'Dr Feelgood', etc.). I wouldn't touch most of their stuff, though, as great as some of those singles were. Worthier of 2.5/5, but I cannot give them that and 3 seems too generous for a band as musically limited as these guys.

There was far worse on the hair metal scene than the Crue. Bands like Ratt, Cinderella, Poison, WASP, LA Guns and other barrel scraping t*rds. The Dr Feelgood album is pretty good although most of their other stuff is pretty p*sspoor. Then again, at least they're not Bon Jovi.

I liked this band when I was in my teens but I grew out of them. Looking back though a lot of their songs are still decent and hold up well.

After "shout at the devil" it seemed to be a consistent slide downward. . .the more they got away from Satan the worse their rock became. . .

"Appalling" describes this putrid aggregation perfectly. Some bands totally suck, but you can understand why they were huge. Others, like this hideous outfit, you can't.

They had some great songs in the 80's but you couldn't pay me to see them now. Vince Neil is a waste of space. Some goes for Axl.

motley crue were good in the 80's but now i wouldn't want to see them they had some great songs between 82 and 89 but after that i stopped liking this band

best band to play in eighties. unfortunately, get bad rap from people for the hair thing. had one of my friends listen to shout at the devil and he went crazy over it. can't wait for dirt movie.

The only good thing about bands like this is that they keep the rehabs and tattoo parlors in business. Otherwise there would be a lot more unemployed people.

Truly one of the best Metal bands except that they had the WORST lesd singer in rock history ! Motley Crue... One listen to Shout at the Devil a few years ago turned me on to them. Their music is always high energy/fun/aggressive and filled with attitude. They a so fun to watch in concert. Cant wait to get the new CD in July!!

Motley Crue is by far the greatest band ever. Many people agree, But nearly as many that would if more people pulled out there old tapes and listend or young people just had the opp. to hear there stuff. There has been many people who have not listened to them, I brought them to a Motley Crue Show and they flipped. Now there huge Crue fans. Do me a favor before you rate and put in a cd, tape, record or what ever of something like Dr. Feelgood or Shout at the devil and theres no question you'll rate 5 stars. Long live REAL Rock & Roll.
