I like my local Farmer's Market better. The stuff sold in most grocery stores really has little nutrition left.

You pretty much NEVER see Whitey at the Target Super Store or find a loaf of Wonder Bread on his table.

Yes, you are right. I like them too but often times a bit pricey for me. The world is changing just the other day at a work meeting there was talk of getting more co-ops in all neighborhoods. Power to the people.

Most of the time they are way over priced and the same old crap, farmer's market on the other hand. Cheap and great quality.

Great, but many places are not what they say they are.... There is a place by me that claims to be a co-op and says "buy here and support local farmers" when meanwhile about 1/10 products are actually from local sources. The rest are just bought from a city market 2 hours away where they just get loads of produce from overseas.

Nothing like strange food at ridiculously high prices.

I guess it depends on what "regular" grocery stores are like where you live, but here, Safeway is pretty abysmal. Whole Foods has fresh local and organic food and isn't too expensive. [There are much higher-end grocery stores around here]
