I can't name any songs from him but I would probably recognize his voice if I heard it on the radio. They play him often on one of my radio stations.

Not sure what genre he falls in to. I guess the crap genre of music. He had the persona of being a lady's man type singer, which I find funny.

I can't say I've listened to his work in anything other than an offhand manner, but some of his early songs I enjoyed in my childhood, and they can still make me nostalgic. For example--- when I was still a child, I cracked up my bicycle and received a concussion. When I came to, I was lying in my bed, and on my night table, a transistor radio was playing "Sweet Caroline". That doesn't necessarily say anything about the quality of the song, but it's one of the reasons I generally don't turn off Neil Diamond songs if they play on the radio. Even if I've heard them 4,367,455 times.

What can one say? One of THE greatest songwriters ever. Outstanding performer (& what a voice!) & outstanding producer. I feel his talent won't be trully recognised for many years.

Neil Diamond is an okay singer/songwriter but defnitely not my taste at all. When I was on Pollstar (a concert website), I saw an advertisement for a Neil Diamond concert....for the hell of it, I just looked up one of his concerts on ticketmaster, and found that some of the seats were in the $30 range. Even though there were a lot of expensive tickets, it's nice to make a show affordable for his fans by offering some seats at a reasonable price. And, no, I'm not Neil Diamond's son or anything.
