She isn't bad, but she doesn't belong on this list since she sings pop/rock music.

I'll give her a 3 only because I don't think she's an R&B singer. She's more along the lines of a alternative-modern-contemporary-adult-lilith-fair-sensitive-woman-singer-songwriter-who-may-or-may-not-have-hairy-armpits, if the category was correct, something like alt-rock chick-singers, I might give her a 4 or 5.

Like Wiggum I first heard of her through Peter Gabriel. She's got a great voice, but her solo songs leave a lot to be desired. BTW, she has shaved armpits on the Peter Gabriel Laserdisc!

She has good music. And I wish people would leave her alone about her choice to be natural - the way God made us. I admire her courage to not conform to what people think everyone should do. It's about time someone did.

I think Paula has a fabulous voice and is a talented songwriter. I don't care if she shaves her armpits. That has nothing to do with her talent!

Truly horrible. I cringe every time I hear the theme to Dawson's Creek: "I don't wanna wait for our lives to be over......". Well I don't wanna wait for her career to be over so in the mean time I'll shut the radio off. Take note Paula, in North America its NORMAL for women to shave their armpits!

I first heard Paula Cole singing back-up on Peter Gabriel's live double-CD, and I thought she had a great voice. It's easy to make fun of some of her songs (like that Dawson's Creek I Don't Wanna Wait thing), but listen to one of her CDs all the way through before you jump to conclusions.
