Brilliant music! In a time where music was about as generic as the lastest shark attack flick, Coldplay saves the day with their music that just keeps on surprising you. Music for people who love and feel music. I believe their music has as much life as any human walking on two legs. This is one group I will look forward to listening for the rest of my life.

There music brings the sensitive side out of me. If your In the mood with ur girlfriend, put these guys on! You WILL get layed. (not really, dont try this)

Their unique and recognizable melodic style inspire meditation and soothe the mind. Listening to them is a wonderful and joyful experience. Everyone in the world should definitely listen to Coldplay.

I like their first two albums better but they are still quite good compared to other bands right now. Chris Martin definitely improved over the years as a musician and entertainer - in fact I think he is hilarious live, but that's just bonus.

One of the few talented "new age" bands. Some of their songs are phenominally well-written and performed. "The Scientist" and "In My Place' are favorites.

it took me a while to get into these guys - I think for the same reason I now like them: they sound so different from anything else out there.

X & Y seems right up to par with the rest of their very good albums.

I heard recently that one of the band-members, prior to Coldplay's official formation, had plans to start a boy band called "Pectoralz". I wouldn't have guessed it.

They have a very unique sound... you *know* when Coldplay is on (the radio). Unlike all that other stuff that basically sounds the same. Their music videos are also quite creative and again unique. Chris Martin has a melodic voice and the music touches on both the slow and faster aspect of musical beats. Through the use of authentic and emotionally raw lyrics coupled with a harmonious voice and band, Coldplay emerges as an influential and timeless band. That's in my opinion...

They're not that great, and they probably get so much attention because there's really not much out there that's great. Their best single is In My Place, because that song actually seems to come from the heart. I don't listen to much of today's music, but I would have to say that Green Day is far superior to Coldplay.

Mediocre, and over-hyped. I recognise many of their melodies as rip-offs of Teenage Fanclub or your garden-variety 90's Brit Pop. They are not Alternative (they are contemporary soft rock) and they aren't Indie (as they are on a major record, and do not have the Indie sound). Just very... dull. Here's hoping I don't have to hear Chris Martin's irritating falsetto for a while.

Among many kiddy pop bands we are bombed with, Coldplay emerges as a genuine and truly artistic work. It takes a discerning eye to tell pop from indie or dream alternative rock. They're sincere and good...

I saw both the video Clocks and heard the song. It so RAW! The musical arrangment's soo cool! One of the few best songs I've heard from today's music beside Drops of Jupiter, Hemorrhage and Start The Commotion! :D

Coldplay is a fine, talented band capable of defining their own niche amongst pop music. However, I believe they need to go back to their Parachutes style of music and try to build off of the ultra-mellow love ballads that made them so famous in the first place (Yellow, Trouble, Don't Panic) rather than the overly emotional anthems displayed on Rush of Blood to the Head. Hopefully their third album will cover some new ground, if Gwyneth Paltrow doesn't get in the way.

Yellow is the worst song I've ever heard. The guitar riff sounds like someone farting through an amplifier.

their piano-driven music is emotional and has an almost mysterioius sound...the sound of their music is not pompous or loud,it's suddle and uplifting...a great band with hopefully more in store.

This group difines music,a and show the ways for other bands to follow. They create songs most could only dream of.

Coldplay is for people that don't think Radiohead is catchy enough.

Coldplay prove that music can be good without being showy and pretentious. Much of their music is quite simple, but very powerful and moving. They are really on a higher level than much of what you hear on the radio nowadays.

Best British band since Duran Duran and Tears for Fears. Deep, moving songs and wonderful melodies. How could you not acknowledge Coldplay's excellent contribution to the dreadful music industry?

Coldplay takes over where U2 left off. Great vocals, great backup, great lyrics. And they've really hit their stride big time after only two releases. Most of the poor reviews here derive from the shallow Britney and Justin drones. Peace out, homeslice!

What's the big deal with these guys? They are so highly publicized, yet, I'm not gonna give them a low rating just cause of all the publicity cause i doubt they're asking for it.

I love to listen to Coldplay when I'm in a mellow mood. Their music is very soothing, and quite nice. Being a piano player myself, I like the piano in their songs.

i'm allowed to indulge myself and say that i think Chris Martin is beautiful, but i loved their music when YELLOW was on the radio and i never even knew who they were or what they looked like. A Rush Of Blood To The Head is an amazing album. I think everyone should own it, or at least listen through it once. you might not like it all, but i'm pretty sure that there'll be something you'll like.

I thought maybe if I read some of their lyrics I might finally be able to understand them. But they seem to be about two or three levels deeper than I am. Plus, the lead singer reminds me of Dave Mathews, who to be honest kind of disturbs me at times.

good, but not great. coldplay's first album was pretty weak and got the success it did through singles yellow and trouble, (both of which are excellent). their newest effort though a rush of blood to the head is a far better album, nothing particulary original or innovative but stronger songs with melody and soul. they get the fourth star for thier personality as a band, they're really nice guys.

The more I listen to Coldplay, the more I enjoy their music. It is not only very good music, but socially relevant and just plain interesting.

Coldplay are just what a band should be - passionate, fun, devoted and above all musically talented. Both their albums were fantastic, emotionally driven masterpieces.

Totally great. My favorite band along with Weezer has some great songs, especially from their new album, A Rush of Blood to the Head. Clocks, Yellow, The Scientist, In My Place, all classic Coldplay. I highly recommend picking up their CD if you come across it. I heard a great review about it, and I saw it in the store and just picked it up. Now it is one of my favorite CDs ever! GO COLDPLAY!

Absolutely overrated garbage. I hate this shoegazer stuff so much that I can't even be objective about it. My vision of hell has Coldplay playing at top volume for eternity. Jesus, write some sensitive songs and croon them in a high-pitched falsetto and everyone thinks you're the next radiohead. The main difference between radiohead and coldplay, however, is that radiohead tries to do original things instead of making absolute terrible crap.

I'm not into these modern British pop "dahrlings" who allow their songs to be defiled by music videos that seem to come from nowhere and ignore the entire purpose of the original song, but all cynicisms aside (which are a lot, you may have noticed), "Clocks" is one of the greater songs of the last few years. I dream of writing songs like that. "Yellow" also taps into a wonderful deliriousness. I have yet to buy a Coldplay c.d., but between these chaps, Radiohead and the White Stripes, perhaps the mainstream scene will stay afloat.
