I bought their new CD "everything for everyone" and love it. That chimp song starts to get old fast though....but all the rest of the songs are really good. There is one "Shopping" that is fun to play in the car when you're on the way to the mall. :)

Some of their songs are actually quite cute. Like Falling for the first time, one week, and Grade Nine. I think they're up for a Juno or two as well.

A total disgrace to the rock industry, and they shouldn't even be in the ROCK category...they are something else.....and being from a different planet doesn't count...lmao hardcore !!!! :)) It really is just boring boring music...

They are talented, down to earth musicians. "Some Fantastic" explained them better than I could. Listen to a CD before you brand them as lame or old. The actual thought in the lyrics, and skill with their instruments, is pretty rare these days. And nice guys to boot, whose own idea of success is that the band has remained intact for 10 years.

Pure light hearted fun! Something we need in this gloomy rock/metal manufacted era of depression and drugs.

They suck. I can see why they decided to go with the name though. It manages to get any guys attention. Then they realize that when someone says "Barenaked Ladies" that it isn't necessarily a good thing.

Just a third-rate bar band that got lucky. Lucky for them, unlucky for us...

In a world dominated by so called "pop-princesses" and "boy bands", it's refreshing to have a band like the Barenaked Ladies. Their lyrics are intellectual and deep, and they combine these with great melodies and catching guitar riffs. All five members are extremely talented, and they show it in all of their albums (all 7 of them!). There is no doubt that they are not a one-hit-wonder. The songs played on the radio are often selected because of their genericness and appealing sounds, but they are most often not the best songs. I would say that the best radio song would be Call and Answer. There are so many beautiful songs on their albums, yet sadly they are often judged by those who do not take the time to really listen to them. These guys play a FANTASTIC live show! They are fun, fun, fun! BNL combines humour with amazing live humour, and they are known to often improv songs on the spot about the strangest things. Trust me when I say that if you think the Barenaked Ladies are "Ok" now, you'll fall in love with them live. So give these hardworking Canadians a break, and check out their music.

They have a few good songs. They're a cool band. They obviously know good music because they like Joni Mitchell. Not a really great band, though.

They're no U2 or REM, but you still have to respect a group of good Canadian musicians like BNL. They've done a few silly songs and such that were just plain idiotic, but I still enjoy their music. I remember hearing in an interview that they do a lot of listening to Joni Mitchell (a favourite of mine). See? Musical ability relies greatly on what you have heard.

The Barenaked Ladies actually have a few minor hits out there, and I just saw one of thier music videos, and it wasn't half bad, or half good. Keep working, and I might make the review better in the next few years,

I love The Barenaked Ladies!! Their music is clean and unique!! When a person at my school was killed in a car accident, alot of people went to his funeral, including me and since his favorite song at the time was One Week, they played it at the end of the funeral. My favorite Barenaked Ladies songs are: One Week, If I Had A Million Dollars, and Pinch Me!! Barenaked Ladies You Rock!!

Barenaked Ladies are an awesome band! No one who has seen them live can deny that. They don't give themselves a fair shake on the radio. It's always their worst songs that are played(One Week, It's All Been Done). these guys had 4 great albums, in were huge stars in Canada before they hit MTV. BNL are great, despite what you hear on the radio.
