My fav group. The lyrics - well - they're so amazing. I've never heard something better. Darren Hayes has one of the most beautiful male voices, it's special, yes, but it is very clear and wonderful. The songs might seem easy-listened, but if you take a deep dive into the lyrics and the music, you'll discover that there are so much beneath the surface. Not to mention, Daniel Jones plays the guitar and write songs like a God. If love was red, then she was colorblind

The music of Savage Garden was always too sappy for me to truly like. I will admit the lead singer guy had a really good voice, I can't recall his name. I just never really got into their stuff. I did see them in concert however with a friend, and I will say they did a good job. Just don't care for the overly dramatic music...

I don't think this band belongs in the Alternative category, as they are definetely pop...but that doesn't mean they don't have talent. They actually are really good songwriters and singers, and their songs have deep meanings and real emotion to go along with their catchy hooks. Some of the best pop songs (or should I say, some of the only good pop songs) of the last few years have come from this duo.

This band must go lower. How the hell are they above U2?

I can't believe this modern "Air Supply" is in the top ten.

They were one of my all time favourite artists of all time. Say what you will but Darren CAN sing and hit notes most top 10 singers can't. They had a great 80's influence and lord knows the ONLY thing good that came out of the 80's was the music. "Truly Madly Deeply" is still my favourite all time song! The rest of you you gave them low ratings can go back to your manufactured brittney's and backstreet who don't even know how to write their own music. :P

boring,and paticularly homosexual!

I think they are an awesome band. I love "Crash and Burn" and "I Knew I Loved You" the best, but I like a lot of their other songs too.

Savage Garden was one of the few bands out there who could really sing. They didn't have to dance because they actually have talent. I don't mean to rip the Backstreet Boys or any of the other boy bands out there because some of them are actually good too. I just think it's great that Darren and Daniel are real musicians and not just entertainers. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing them in concert but I know they were great performing together. Darren's voice alone could capture a room. I really think that they define beauty when it comes to music. The lyrics they used are so powerful; most everybody can relate to "Affirmation" and when they're sung with as much emotion as Darren puts into it...whoa. Listen to "I Knew I Loved You," or "Truly, Madly, Deeply." to hear what I mean. Most people seem to think that just because their music is sensitive it's made for little kids. It's made for everybody, it's just different from all other artists out there. I love Savage Garden music. I don't know why they had to split because they were great as a duo. I hope Daniel and Darren achieve all their dreams and that they are successful in whatever they do. I can't wait to hear some new stuff from Darren...okay, I have to admit now that I am really upset about the split! I was trying to keep it cool, but it's just not right! I mean the music they MADE was amazing! And it's more special because two friends made it! I hope and pray they come to their senses and team up again because I really need to see them in concert! I think all of you Savage Garden fans are wonderful people, and the SG-haters are very considerate for taking the time out of their lives to comment on something they don't even like. Thank you for reading this if you've gotten this far! Don't be afraid to leave me a personal message, I promise to respond. Hope to hear from you!

i give them a small amount of credit for writing their own music, but they suck beyond that.
callmetootie 07/30/2001
Savage Garden was the big band in the late 90's.
Drummer_Chick 07/29/2001
For a lovey mushy CD, it's good, but if that's not your style, then you probably won't fall in love with them. I've heard better, but they have one song that is stuck in my head.
Princess8110 07/11/2001
Okay now. I had the awesome opportunity to see Savage Garden in concert and it was honestly one of the greatest nights of my life so far (I'm 16 now). They put on an AWESOME show!!! Their songs are great because many people can relate to the situations described in them. Darren's vocals are so unique and amazing, and Daniel's talent in music is just the perfect addition. They deserve way more than a 5 if you ask me.

i used to like them a LOT, when i was in elementary school. but not really any more. and their new stuff isn't as good. i liked their album with "truely madly deeply," whatever the hell that is called? anyway, i dont really like them so much anymore. but i admit darren (if thats his name) can sing well.
Mystikal 04/29/2001
I only like one song because it reminds me of someone who is very close to me. Other than that, they sound like the Backstreet Boys incarnate.
kevco 03/14/2001

i love this band they are great and have a wonderful sound i wish that they had more albums out! I LOVE TEHM!!
Azteck 03/02/2001
Not a bad sound. Their first CD was very good but the second one (affirmation) sounds a little bit too commercial.

About as savage as a wet lettuce. Rock music for 9 year-old girls. A big steaming turd in the dustbin of popular music. And #1SavageGardenFan is an Idiot. With a capital 'I'. I-d-i-o-t.
