Ok people. I have one word and five words of advice for Nick Cage. The word: Hairpiece. Advice: Get a NEW hairpiece guy/gal.This movie was swift moving and suspenseful. The characters were pretty good. But I couldn't focus on anything except Cage's hairpiece, which was too small - leaving too much of his forehead out. OMG. It was awful. And the hair's line across his forehead was too pronounced and VERY unnatural. Either go bald or get some implants, but not this middle of the road (or cranium) job. It was just too much. Or rather, too little. He should LOOK at pictures of himself 15-20 years ago and AIM FOR THAT. If it don't look like that, then keep trying! The movie itself wasn't bad. The first one, I agree with others here, was better.

It was entertaining, but it wasn't as good as the first one. Movies like this always require suspension of disbelief, and I was fine with the idea of the book of secrets, and yet one more Lincoln assassination conspiracy story. But the idea of the legendary Cibola being buried under Mount Rushmore was a bit more than I could take.

Juvenile junk, utterly dependant on special effects. Makes Raiders of the Lost Ark look like Citizen Kane.

I had a nice, relatively long review written out, but I accidently closed my browser and lost it. Since I don't feel like typing all that stuff again, here is the nutshell version.
It's a really good movie. If you like the first one you'll like this one, but the first one was better. Nicolas Cage was good and I liked the addition of Ben Gates mother to the story. I like the way they lace together fact with fiction and, for the most part, avoid political commentary. Ed Harris was a nice surprise, as I was unaware he was in the movie when I went into the theater.

Nick Cage and Jon Voight do a fine job and this film has alot to offer, but I must go with part I as the better of the two.

Now, I may be a fan of Nicolas Cage, but just him being in this movie doesn't instantly make it a wonderful movie, but it does help. The characters in this movie have personallities all of their own, and really shine and show who they are. Nicolas Cage plays the main protaginist in this film, who is named Ban Gates, and as you may of guessed he is back at it and out to get even MORE treasure. This time he's after the city of gold known as Cibola, and his goal is to clear his great great grandfathers name, because suspicion was layed that he may of been a conspirator in the Lincoln assassantion. He is going to do it with his friend Riley(Justin Bartha), and also plans on getting his ex involved, Abigail Chase(Diane Cruger). And of course, he is going to drag in his father like last time, a long with his very own mother. This movie takes things up a level and is a great experience to any age, and I would highly suggest seeing it ;D

Not as good as the first movie, but it's still a good movie with a good story for all those conspiracy theorists out there. I think the end was a tad anticlimactic, but the story sets the audience up for a third movie which is welcome in my opinion.
