Unbelievably dreadful. Once you see it, you would rather be halfway down a sabretooth tiger's digestive system in the year in question than in the present watching this nonsense.

What can you say about a film like this? The point of the film is to not take it too seriously or look for historical inaccuracies - which there are many. It is full of cheesy and cliched moments.

I got the feeling towards the end that Roland Emerich might have been deliberately trying to make the film cheesy - but that's just my thoughts on it. If you're after an intelligent film that makes you think, this is not it.

If it's on TV and there's nothing else to watch, it's probably worth watching once, but I wouldn't have thought it's worth buying or renting. Save your money for a better film.

I knew Apocalypto, and you sir, are no Apocalypto.  Cool prehistoric CGI animals though.
