The movie was created by the Russian well-known and talented director Timur Bekmambetov. When I went to see the movie, I didn't know it's his film. But while watching it, I immediately recognized his style - using the effect of delayed-action, quick and unexpected switches from one scene to another. The other 2 great movies with the same special effects style are Day Watch and Night Watch, which are even better. The plot is more original there and is based on the best-selling books.

I thought that the movie was pretty good. I'm not normally much for action films I find most of them the same. I enjoyed the twists and turns in this movie. I understood the relationship of the Wesley and Fox's relationship to be more of a motherly/mentor type then that of a lovely dovey relationship. I just finished watching the movie a few hours ago, I have a short attention span and it kepy my attention.

I surprisingly found this movie more marketable than others. It's completely unrealistic, absurd, and almost superhero like and not unlike many other action films, much effort is put into the special effect. Somehow amidst all that I found something good about it that most action films lack. The story is interesting, the philosophy is unusual, and it made me think. Anything that makes me think is worth my time.

I thought it was lousy. I thought McAvoy's accent or intonation was off - I guess he wasn't allowed to be Scottish for this movie, and it made the dialogue stilted. The story tried to be this sort of Fight Club / Super Hero mish mash, and it ended up not making much sense. Angelina Jolie and McAvoy didn't seem to have any chemistry at all.The whole thing just struck me as a video game turned movie with very little thought put into the story, the dialogue, and the direction - even Morgan Freeman couldn't save this one.

Movie kept my attention & kept me thinking! Awesome twist and (hopefully not spoiling it) I love when a movie doesn't have a "happy ending".
