If I did this, I would have to use my sleeve, and then I would have to wash my clothes in at a higher temperature with an overall loss in the big picture.

I have no idea where they got the "six napkins a day" statistic, but that seems like a seriously-off estimate.  Unless you're a total slob or something.  Actually, I'm not sure why it wasn't advocated to just use cloth napkins, while they're at it.
