It's hard not to like any movie he does.

Way over-rated. Seems like a smug little prick on and off the camera.  I don't see what any of the hype is about, anybody could have played any of the roles he was in.  Time for him to come out of the closet too.

Kevin Spacey is one of our best character actors, but he hasn't been offered nearly enough good parts. When he gets a good script, he's wonderfully effective.  He first caught my attention in L.A. Confidential, in which he did a terrific job. Without giving it away to those who haven't seen it, the very dramatic scene he had with James Cromwell stunned me.

I hadn't yet seen The Usual Suspects then, but thereafter made it a point to rent it--another great performance for which he richly deserved the Oscar he received for Best Supporting Actor. A few years later his awesome performance in American Beauty won him the Oscar for Best Actor.

When I saw him as Bobby Darin in Beyond the Sea, I was awestruck at how good his voice is and how much he was able to sound just like Bobby Darin. I wasn't that fond of the screeplay, but he did a great acting job. Since then none of his roles have been particularly notable, so he needs to have some producer offer him a juicy dramatic role, not another Lex Luther/Superman type of role.

Fine actor. He was very convincing as Bobby Darrin.  If he is in a movie that is one more good reason to see it.

Another choice actor, I love his roles, he always seems to just be the characters he plays.  I would say LA Confidential or Usual Suspects was my favorite of his, altho Seven was great too, small role, excellently played!

I think I've only seen two films Spacey was in: "Seven" and "American Beauty". He was phenominal in both, especially AB.

One of those surprisingly versatile actors who always brings intelligence to his roles. You can tell when an actor is trained as a stage actor...Kevin Spacey does not simply let the "muse" inspire him, and magically turn himself into a character. You can almost see the wheels turning in his head, and I respect that very much. "American Beauty" will always astound me, even if I have seen it many times and if I am not unique for loving it.

An absolutely amazing actor, an absolutely amazing performer. "The Usual Suspects" is an incredible movie, but Kevin Spacey's performance made is simply genious

Kevin Spacey has pretty much always been in my top 5 and I really don't see him leaving his post anytime soon. Why I believe he is a great actor....because in the majority of all his films, I try to picture someone else in the part and just cannot do it. I mean when he loathes someone, he truly and whole-heartedly loathes them. If he wants you to have a miserable life, you will definitely be in misery. Yes, American Beauty wasn't conventional but I loved him in it and couldn't help but love the movie. One minute he is tongue-tied and drooling over a teenager and the next he black-mailing his boss with all of the confidence of a made man. And no one, absolutely no one else on the face of this earth could be Verbal Kint.

Very streaky actory

He's done some great work and he looked like he was having a ball playing Bobby Darin. I haven't seen anything that I'd call excellent since the Usual Suspects and LA Confidential.

ok well since my email name is Imaspaceyfan I guess you may just beable to tell that I am a fan of Kevin Spacey! I think he is a fantastic actor and he is so sexy to me. He also is a very funny man when interviewed. I can't wait to see him in the new Superman movie coming out.

This guy can play some messed up people. The Usual Suspects is one of my faves.

Always great work! But for me his very best was his guest role on Wise Guy in the 8o's before his film career took off. Knew then that he had it to go far.

I think one of the best actors Hollywood has ever seen. He can play any kind of character and not just the weirdos as in American Beauty. I loved him in L.A. Confidential. He has this certain mysterious behaviour that always fascinated me.

Kevin Spacey is the man! He's a great actor. Plus, he went to high school with my aunt.

Kevin is a good actor but some of his roles don't make a lot of sense. He is the best thing about a lot of his movies but I find most of his movies to be disappointing. I really should do more comedy, I think he would be great.

he was funny in American Beauty

A really good actor. A great sense of comic timing, and a master of deadpan humor. And, like all actors who can actually act, he does roles in theater productions, too.

I loved Spacey in American Beauty. Sadly I can't say I have enjoyed all his work as much as I did that film. Well, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil was another good one, but I never felt he really embraced that role as much as he could have. I know there is a fine actor in there, though.

Kevin has the ability to be absolutely convincing, no matter what role he plays. He is a possitively supurb actor. Why anyone would say otherwise is beyond me entirely. Yes, perhaps he is not the absolutely greatest looking man in Hollywood. But why should that be a judegment on his acting ability. He's great and everyone should know it!!!!

Yeah, why is Kevin Spacey behind ORLANDO BLOOM of all people? Oh that's right, he's not drop dead gorgeous. But whatever. Kevin Spacey is an actor of extraordinary range and talent; he's played a psycho, a con man, and a cynical suburban father, and he was great as all three. That right there is a testament to his ability. Orlando Bloom....pscht....

One of the handful of actors who isn't a self obsesssed w**nker. Has done a lot of good work, 'Usual suspects' and 'LA Confidential' being 2 of my all-time favourite films. I wasnt keen on 'American Beauty' but I thought he played the part well. Seems like a regular guy.

A great actor.

With such an intense aura and a commanding screen presence, there's no denying that Kevin Spacey is a great actor. He has amazing depth and range. Spacey is probably best known for his role as Lester Burnham in American Beauty. Spacey's performance as the suburban husband whose life is miserable was absolutely priceless, and it was Spacey's commanding screen presence that created the aura of the film. Equally riveting was Spacey's moving performance as scarred middle school teacher Eugene Simonet in Pay it Forward. Spacey did an excellent job in communicating his character's physical, as well as emotional scars to the audience. A perfect example of Kevin Spacey's awesome screen presence is his performance in the 1997 thriller, Seven, in which he plays a psychotic killer who plays a unique cat and mouse game with two detectives (Freeman and Pitt). Although Spacey only appeared in the last half hour of the film, it was his brief, but chilling performance that stole the show. Other decent performances include a comedic role in The Ref and the role of the heroic cop in The Negotiator. Kevin Spacey's career has already been an illustrious one, and it is clearly far from over. I have confidence that he will be remembered as one of the true greats out of time.

This actor is phenomenal. As another review put it, he makes the character he plays so realistic : a crook in "Usual Suspect", a shy - full of complexes guy in "Pay it forward", an emotionaly disturbed & lost family man in "American Beauty", a tyranic agent in "Swimming with Sharks" etc .. You always forget the actor and immerse in the story. One the best current actor. Period.

Go see American Beauty...then watch The Usual Suspects...this guy personifies talent!!!

Kevin Spacey has a knack for choosing really good films. He has starred in some really great movies that I love. I really liked him in American Beauty and K-Pac. He is a great actor who deserves every award that comes his way. He is VERY convincing in his roles.

Okay, I've posted about him before, but I have just got to add a few more things. Every great movie I see - he is in it. I can't get enough of this man. He makes my mind fly! He has got to be THE greatest actor of all time. I love that when he is acting he leaves his ego at the door. He absolutely becomes every character he is portraying. There isn't an ounce of KS in the character's movements, mannerisms, or even the way they move the hair out of their face. He is what every other actor should strive to be - TALENTED. I could probably write a book about every one of his performances. I also like that he doesn't limit himself to commercial movies (Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise) and he steps outside of the box. I hope he has a long and successful career. He definitely deseverves more than two Oscars. As a screenwriter I am grateful for Triggerstreet. If we ever meet in Hollywood I will definitely try to seduce him. MEOW
