He starred in Seinfeld and later in his own show. After his show was cancelled after only one season, he returned to be a stand up comedian. Two black people were heckling him and he shouted the N word at them. This caused controversy and rightly so. Richards apologized for his remark but this may have damaged his career. Richards was put in an episode of South Park and his prejudice remark was talked about in it.Richards is a great performer. I liked his performance in Problem Child. I don't blame black people for being angry at Richards but I hope that they can find it in their hearts to forgive him. I give MR. Richards a 4 star rating.

The character he played on Sienfeld was an amusing comic foil, albeit a one note act, and Richards played it with gusto. I've only ever seen him in two other performances, Weird Al Yankovic's UHF and Diane Keaton's Unstrung Heroes, in both he played a slight variation on the same role he had in Sienfeld. That doesn't suggest a lot of depth.

I was never a Seinfeld fan, and even less of a Kramer fan. His comedy seemed predictable and a repeat of what had been done before and better by other physical comedians.

I'm actually starting to feel a little sorry for him. I think it's time to stop apologizing. An apology should be short, sweet and to the point, and let the chips fall where they may. The more he apologizes, the more he keeps putting his foot in his mouth. What makes it so hard for him is that it was caught on tape, thereby making him perpetually guilty, and perpetually sorry. Also, I wouldn't give anyone ten cents! If anyone takes any money from Richards, they are just as gulty, of exploitation, of exploiting a racial incident for personal gain. If it had been on the streets, they would have exchanged words, and went their seperate ways. But because Richards is an enternainer, he somehow owes these guys money? I don't think so. They've got a firm grip on his balls, and they're squeezing as hard as they can. Besides, what about the first amendment? He committed no illegal act. If you don't like what he said, don't pay to see him, don't watch his TV shows. I don't know what went on inside Richards mind. He may or may not be a racist, but there is no trail of past racial incidents to back that up. I think the guy just lost his cool, and he tried to hurt these guys with the worst words he could think of. If he's guilty of anything, it's of being an a$$hole, at least on that night. But with the racial climate being what it is lately, real or percieved; Katrina, the recent shooting of a young, unarmed black man, killed on his wedding day and his outburst, I just don't think he's going to get off so easy. But I would stop aplogizing right now!

Michael Richards got lucky when he was cast in Seinfeld. If he didn't get that, he may never have become famous. He was funny. I know he worked hard at his character, "Kramer", and I commend his physical antics. But if you meet him and know him in real life, he is a bitter, mean, older and shallow person who has become scared of life. He is really jaded about being type cast, and no one will ever give him another chance to er-invent himself. With all the money he made, he shouldn't be that upset however.

The charm of Kramer was lost on me. I thought he was creepy. He was too old for the part of a yuppie for one thing.

Great physical comedian who seems unable to find his niche now that he's left Seinfeld.

Kramer is one of the funniest TV characters of all time, and Michael Richards was the only person who knew how to play Kramer because he did everything to make Kramer enjoyable to watch.

Michael Richards is a handsome and talented physical comedian. He was brilliant on Seinfeld as Kramer and was an integral part of the show.

Michael Richards is a comic genius. Just seeing him makes me start to laugh. His portrayal of Cosmo Kramer on "Seinfeld" is one of the funniest I have ever seen on television. The bizarre way Richards uses his body, props, and the space around him makes his work memorable. Richards has a new sitcom coming out this fall ("The Michael Richards Show" on NBC), and I have high hopes for it.

Funny in Sienfeld, but I think that may be it. Am I the only one who thought he *stole* the character of Kramer from Christopher Lloyd (in Back to the future). Kramer and Doc behave in the same way!

I miss Kramer
