It sounds like law enforcement officials in Mississippi would have taken a dim view of the living arrangement I had with my old room mate Jim, but I swear we were just friends.

Glad I do not live in Miss, or I would have been arrested by now. I "lived in sin" with my ex-girlfriend for a whopping seven years. I currently live with a woman who is neither my wife nor my girlfriend, but we both find it mutually beneficial to share a home. Government forcing itself into peoples bedrooms is something we need to disallow. You know, the whole "Freedom thing."

Do six months in the slammer in Mississippi, and you're likely to come out losing your taste for living with women at all...

Is everyone down there in jail?

The sentence should be $500 and spend the next 6 months in a jail cell together. That should rehabilitate you, you probably wouldn't live together after that.

I'm not for it, I'm not against this. hile I don't like people living together when they're not married, a fine for it seems a little harsh.

This should be enforced more it would save people a lot of heartache. If someone wants you to copulate with them before marriage you can be sure, in most cases, they never had any intention of marrying you. That goes for men and women.

This law is established in Florida as well, although most people here don't realize it yet. I don't understand this at all. Some people live together simply to split the cost of rent.
