While I'm not at all a big fan of living in a house with 4 or more other women, I'd like to hear the story that initiated the making of this law.

Considering the last election I wonder if it's illegal for two people to live together who have five college degrees between them. . .

Of course its a well known fact that the first thing five women do when they get together is open a bordello....

oh goodness. my friend is one of nine girls. their parents had ten kids. only one boy. guess it is a good thing they live in Michigan. I suppose they mean grown women and what are they afraid they are doing?

They can't live by themselves or is it ok if their is one guy in the house. What happens if you wife gives birth to 4 daughters.

LOL You have to remember that a law on the books, is not always a law enforced, however it could be enforced. I remember hearing about one state that kept alcohol illegal long after prohibition, but didnt enforce it til one officer began heavily enforcing the law. Shortly the law was repealed of course.

Housing more than 4 women in some states is illegal because it could a brothel. That may have been the case in 1802 so sure it might as well be the case today. This is why sorority houses are outlawed in some states.

So I wonder how many families consisting of 5 daughters and a mother were sent to the slammer for this. Sounds like a lame effort to squelch prostitution by someone who was trying to avoid using the word. Doh!

This is absolutely absurd. I, personally, wouldn't want to live in a house with 4 other women...BUT...Why should anyone have the right to tell people who they can, and can't live with?

. . . what, per house or for the entire state of Ohio?
