Sean Connery and Roger Moore starred in the same amount of Bond films. Connery and Moore have starred in more bond films than any of the other actors. I gladly give Sean Connery a 5 star rating.

He adds style and sophistication to roles which is often missing with these new fly by night actors popping up here and there.  I loved the movie Playing with Heart, great cast.. a departure from the 'action hero' role.

Don't know any women over 30 who don't find him sexy, yes, even at his age.

He has been in some turkeys for sure, but when the picture is right he shines. "The Man Who Would Be King", The Bond movies, "Robin and Marian",  to name a few.

The only reason he didn't get a 5 is because i don't know what shee shaw means.

Sean Connery is without a doubt one of THE actors of the century. He can just about do it all. He was good when he was doing 007, but as a very fine wine, he has just gotten 'better' with age.

Connery played James Bond well.I think his very best movie was The Once and Future King.There are many actors on this list with more skill at the craft,though.

We all liked him as James Bond. He was the best. But beside of that...I don't think he is good enough of an actor to give him 4 or even 5 stars. He is doing his thing, sometimes we enjoy it, sometimes we don't, but he is not that great.

007, those were the days. I don't buy the tough 70 year old bit.

Ever since I was tied to a chair and forced to watch Medicine Man, I've had somewhat less respect for Sean.

One of those actors who seems determined to earn his money. I seldom see him walk through roles, even in utterly dreadful movies. I don't think he has immense range, but he's not bad.

One really has to admire how he made himself free of that James Bond-image and presented us so many interesting characters in a variety of categories.

No one ever did Bond like Sean. He gets sexier every day, as well. Looks good in kilts. Love to hear him talk. Sir Connery - Nobody did it like you.

Sean is so in his own league...how far? This far - He was allowed to play the Russian sub captain in Hunt for Red October in a broad Scotts brogue. Laughed my head off, but it shows you how much kudos he has. Sexier as he got older and got rid of the glossy dead beavers they used to glue to his head. Ah Sean, you're definitely the business! PS, looks like a Thunderbird puppet in the photo you've got of him.

The real James Bond. Roger Moore was ok and Pierce Bronson is ok but Sean was the original, if you don't count David Niven in Casino Royale, and he was the best.

Not nearly as good as all the hype, but he has made a few good films. And I can also say he was NOT the best James Bond...not by a long shot.

Sean connery is not only a great actor but all in all a very cool guy. He can play all different kinds of parts and has shown it over and over again.

Words cannot convey the talent he has.

A great actor, just read the jame bond books, Sean is just perfect if you compare the description of him in the book!

Is it the Scottish brogue or what? I don't know. I love to watch and listen to Sean in just about everything that he has done. Of course he IS James Bond, sorry Roger, Timothy and Pierce. When I think of Bond, I think Sean Connery. He doesn't seem to age, he is like fine wine, he improves with time. Great body of work Sean, keep up the great work.

THE 1 ST JAMES BOND, AT 70 PLUS STILL GETTIN TOP HOLLYWOOD ROLES IT DOESNT GET BETTER THAN THAT.

First, Sean Connery IS James Bond. None of the others that followed had his suave and gentlemanly manner. After his Bond era, he created another all to his own. He is great!

I really like this guy. He was really good in Hunt for Red October, and all his Bond movies. I can't wait to see League of Extraordinary Gentleman.

Blew me away many years ago in the days of black & white with Tippi Hedren in Marnie. So cool & confident then with a voice that sends chills up your spine. Older now but just as sexy & doesn't the world need a few mature sexy men?

Wife beater and NO comparison with Jack Nicholson who he is higher than he is on this rating system. Though we all love to imitate his thick Scottish accent, don't we love???

Sean Connery is by far one of my favorite actors. He has grown even hotter with age, not that he wasn't gorgeous in the Bond films... and for a few of you that say he has no acting talent, I reccomend you to see First Knight and Finding Forrester, both of which are great. The fact that my favorite accent in the world is Scottish, he is even more attractive to me. But he is almost 73, you say... so he is, and damn sexy at that.

Sean Connery has a great voice for acting. I didn't really like the 007 movies, but his others were fantastic.

I'm not queer or anything but I hope am as photogenic as he is when I turn 70. Still a good actor!

People worship Sean Connery. I don't know why. His acting is ok but not superior. His personality leaves a lot of room for improvement. I find his distasteful opinions of the female gender most disheartening and quite frankly unnecessary. Has he done anything notable since 007? Sorry friends -- this man is just way overrated.

Of course the greatest action-heroe of all time deserves five. Best known for his role as James Bond 007( by far the best one), he is one of my top five favorite actors. He, even today at like 59 or 60 continues to show us all his actiopn skill.

Such a wonderful actor. My husband and I are HUGE Bond fans, and I miss him so terribly when I see the new Bond movies. I still love to watch them, but they're just not the same. Connery could walk into a room and just his look alone could convince every woman that she had to have him:-) His voice could melt butter. (He seems like a very versitile actor, as well.)
