Combat boots are great but they are hell on your feet. Corporal Numbah has armor plated feet due to all the milage I have put down and at my peak my blister threshold was 18 miles! Oh yeah, my sicko unit liked to run in them.

Spent so much time in these, they fused to my feet - literally. Never has a pair of shoes provided me with such a sense of security. Ironically, it's clear that combat boots are made for ankle support - not long distance marching. My feet paid the price. To this day, my toenails still fall out with surprising regularity.

Believe it or not, these shoes are good for running (the Viet Nam style). I ran in them years ago. These are the only shoes Marvin Hagler would run in when training for a fight.
