I liked him in the '80s, but he's a soap actor - 3 stars is as high as I can go there.

Re: episode on 12-24-07, I had no idea that Anthony Geary could sing. I just smiled the whole time I was watching him. He is an incredible actor and his singing was just wonderful. That is why he continues to be such a popular actor on GH.

 So damned good. The type of actor who makes anyone in a scene with him better. Great range, being wasted on GH though. The best actor on the show.

The man is an ass. I saw him on a flight to Netherlands this spring and decided to prove it to my husband by taking a picture of him. I remained seated in my seat and even turned off the flash. As he went to sit down in his seat I snapped the picture. His reaction? He stood in the aisle staring daggers at me for the longest time. To those of you who think that I infringed on his privacy, I say "B.S."!!! I was VERY descrete, didn't bother him during the flight, before or after it so that he could keep his precious "privacy". He can afford to fly back and forth to Netherlands twice a year and have all that time off because of people like me who watch the show and in all realism pay his damn salary and give him the power to negotiate the contract that he has, so, I say again...the man is an ass. I don't care how good of an actor he is!!!

He is by far the best actor on General Hospital,second to none.Maurice Benard is second to him.

Anthony Geary is one of the most dynamic and exciting actors to ever grace the screen. Hi is tremendous actor. I have watched him as Luke spencer on General Hospital for over 30 years off and on. I also really liked Genie Frances as Laura and think the show really should get her back. Anthony, you are the one who could get her back for us. The two of you back together as Luke and Laura would be so terrific. Thank you for the years of drama and adventure on General Hospital.

i remember ditching school or playing sick just so i could watch jenny and greg on all my children and luke and laura on general hospital. i dont watch any more. i grew out of them

Use to be good but between the lengthy vacations he takes a couple of times a year it's just hard to get into the character anymore.

I've watched Tony Geary since I was a kid. I saw the episodes where he raped Laura. I saw the aftermath. Tony is a good actor. To make almost every female viewer fall in love with Luke after what his character did takes talent. I believe it also takes an enormous amount of talent for a gay man to act straight, which he does with tremendous believability. My only wish is that he worked more and could truly convince Genie Francis to once again step back into the role of Laura.

I remember when hw first came on the show.

I've had a huge crush on Luke for almost 25 years. I remember that my sister and I saved up and bought an very expensive, wonder-of-the-day, new-fangled VCR in 1981 just so we could tape Luke and Laura's Wedding Day.

Anthony Geary is one of the most amazing actors on daytime!!! After 25 years on GH, Luke is still one of the most loved and enteraining chararters! General Hospital wouldn't be the same with out him!

Excellent actor. I love to watch him.

After 25 years on GH, this actor still proves he can turn out Emmy worthy performances even with material that is less than stellar. Tony Geary is daytime's greatest treasure and an endless source of delight to watch. His acting range is staggering, and he is an inspiration to other actors. Bravo, Tony!

the king of overacting

Probably one of the most famous GH characters, he is currently getting out of the storyline rut he's been stuck in for years. He is witty and knows how to do his job well. You have to give him that.

a has been who keeps pretending he can do the same schtick over and over. Ego has destroyed too much, and too many characters were passed upon in order to prop up something that has been done over and over ad nauseum

Can't see why everyone raves about him but he does a good job with his material. Wish they'd give him something more to do than mope, rant and act crazy, though.

his "LOVE" story with laura is so ridiculous. He raped her, got her pregnant, and so they got married. gee. romantic.

I think that Mr. Geary is one of the best actors around (including all of those so-called 'great' Movie Actors). Aside from that, I was wondering if I am the only who wonders if Mr. Geary will EVER get married? It's beginning to look doubtful, and I read a magazine article once (about ten years ago) that hinted towards the fact that Tony might actually be 'gay'. Now, I don't care one way or another - but I do not recall ever see him linked with a ladylove. It's his personal, private business - but I have to admit that I am a little curious.....

He is the best actor I have seen anywhere. I have watched him for years and have never been dissappointed.

Tony Geary is without a doubt my favorite daytime actor. Part of the reason I love this performer so much is his uniqueness. Just a couple of things that make him stand apart from his peers: -His quick wit and amusing ad-libs. -His mercurial, energetic, presence even at 55+ years of age. (He can still pull off Cool Luke at such an age). -His incredibly expressive face. (Not beautiful in a conventional sense but able to evoke a remarkable range of emotions). -His fearlessness in expressing heartbreaking vulnerability. (E.g. Attic Wedding Vows, Rape Revisited storyline, Goodbye to Laura, Lucky's "Death", etc.)

Awesome Actor!!!

He's not great but he is a good actor. I liked the scenes with Luke and Luara but Luke and Summer really had a sort of connection also. Anyone who ever saw a scene with him in it would probably say that no matter who he is working with he really keeps you going to the very last scene and he leaves an impression on your heart wether good or bad. That is a good actor.

Although I loved Tony Geary as Luke when he first hit the scene on GH 20+ years ago, the character has not grown in any way, shape or form. Now, he reminds me of an old, ugly Hell's Angels biker still riding his hawg when he should have sold the Harley at least 15 years ago. Sad and pathetic.

I can't get past that monstrous hairdo. How can anyone take him seriously. Don't they pay people of the set for that stuff?

Tries really hard to be the consumate smart alec and does a pretty decent job. Not the greatest actor in the world, not good looking but he does know how to get your attention for some unfathomable reason. I guess he just knows how to work that rebel thing that never seems to go out of style.

Anthony Geary is one of a kind. Not only is he talented and dynamic but he's one of a few actors given license to ad-lib. And please, GH, never revoke his license! He keeps me in stitches!

Who doesn't love Luke??

I remember boycotting the show after Luke and Laura left GH. From the days at the Campus Disco with that crazy perm..to being Mayor of Port Charles..to his present day adventures (get back with Laura, Luke). He is always entertaining and a thrill to watch.
