You had not truly made the fashion scene until you had made a mr blackwell list. He held no punches and said it like it was. I do think in his last years his opinion had lost some meaning in a more modern and up to date fashion world but he did know classy.

I'm sure Cher, Britney Spears, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Posh Spice, Dolly Parton, Bjork, Ann Margret and Madonna all shed a tear ..... of joy.

I don't really follow fashion, so its no big loss for me that Mr. Blackwell has passed on. I only knew of him because of his annual Worst Dressed List and his reviews of the Oscar red carpet processions. If somebody released the Mr. Blackwell's list every year without the announcement of his death, I think most people would never have a reason to question what happened to Mr. Blackwell.
