Yuk.Next to this, the movies of Cheech and Chong look like the finest moments of the Marx Brothers.

Sure, there were plenty of laughs to be had but there wasn't much rationale or heart which is behind the best of Apatow and Seth Rogen Comedies. I particularly thought the relationship with the high school student could have been edited out completely. It just didn't work at all. If I were a senior at high school and some loser smelling of pot came into the school and made out with a girl at the locker next to me, I'd call the police. Speaking of police, the whole situation with the police vs. drug dealers vs. Korean drug dealers could have been upped in its level of suspense. The scenes between Rogen and Franco are of course wonderful but the title drug, Pineapple Express, save for an amusing intro by Bill Hader gets absoultely no prescence in the film. It would have been amusing to get some sort of reaction when Rogen first experiences but it comes off as just another joint. I was expecting it to have much more personality in the film. Altogether a barrel of laughs but it could have been better. I have to say, eating Fruit Roll-ups while waiting for someone and expecting everything to be okay took me pleasantly by surprise.

Maybe I've entered the dinosaur stage of my life but this ghastly entertainment, actually screened in movie theaters, was such a boring, messed-up job of people smoking weed nonstop that I thirty minutes was enough for me. Seth Rogan is now our Slacker Jerry Lewis of the 21st Century. Once was enough when he emerged with this sloppy guy who lives in greasy jeans, flannel shirts and flip-flops in "Knocked Up." He was somebody fresh and different. He was even lovable. Since then, it's been the same sloppy, unwashed slacker guy and in this incredibly boring epic, he does nothing but smoke, smoke, smoke that strange cigarette. If you're really into weed, then you might get a couple of yuks out of this. To those of us who aren't into weed or drugs (okay, I'll confess, I'm clean) you might show this at a party for your buddies to see how stupid movies can be. i really think that everyone involved in this movie were weed lovers.

I love Seth Rogan movies. It isn't as good as 40-year-old Virgin, but it's better than 90 percent of the comedies made today. Notice my review is about the actual movie. Why is it so difficult for some people on Amazon to grasp the concept of a movie review? A recent 1 out of 5 review on this movie stated: "I canot honestly rate this product or review this product as it was a gift. I have never seen this movie. " DEAR REVIEWER: If you can't honestly rate the movie because you didn't see it, why did you rate it 1 out of 5? I'm sure if you read enough reviews, you will find a couple of people who entered a 1 out of 5 because the shipping was slow or some other reason that has nothing to do with acting, plot or the actual movie. I give those reviewers a 1 out 5 for their useless reviews; but I give the actual movie Pineapple Express a 4 out of 5.

It is rare that I will say a bad thing about a movie, and this is no exception. I have a fairly large collection of movies, and I added this one a few months back. If you are looking for a little stoner fun, this is your movie. Some have said it compares with Cheech and Chong, they would be wrong. Nothing wrong however with adding it to the collection, and if you watch it once a year you won't be disappointed with the investment.

Another dumb movie that tries to pick up where Half-Baked left off. It's about some mindless guys who do nothing but smoke pot from the beginning of the movie to the end. So if you are a mindless viewer with nothing better to do with your life, you will like it. Also, if for some strange reason there is a need to see pot smoking in detailed 1080p for some reason, here you go. If you are troubled by movies like this which trivialize and downplay the big problem of drug use in our society, or agree that it makes drug use seem like a cool thing to do without regard to the life-changing consequences, you will want to pass on this junk.

This is an excellent stoner movie , I laughed almost through the whole movie. I've seen it several times already and will be seeing it several times more. I highly recommend this movie not because it's the greatest film ever made but because it's fucking funny.
