My mom and I liked her books, but our favorite one is a Rose in Winter. We would like her to make it become a movie because it has a very good story line.

Kathleen Woodiwiss is an amazing author who writes the best historical romance. I've read ever single one of her books and I loved every single novel. My favorite book is "The Flame and the Flower" and Shanna but I would suggest to anybody who likes this genre of books, read them all!!!!

Kathleen's work is wonderful i have read four of her books and i love them. i liked the flame and the flower i didnt like the sequel the elusive flame as much but it was still good. Ashes in the wind and a rose in winter are by far my fav. i think she is a very talented author and if you are looking for entertainment you should check out her books. i get distracted easy and my mind wanders but her books keep my attention.

Ms. Woodiwiss's editors must cringe everytime she presents them with a new manuscript. Many Creative Writing professors, editorial book doctors, and writing workshop specialists across the US use excerpts from her novels as examples of how NOT to write! Her grammar and syntax is very poorly executed. However, what Ms. Woodiwiss does seem to be capable of is creating intriguing characters that stick in your mind long after you've put down one of her novels. And to me, that is far more important than sentence structure. If you are looking for something entertaining to read, go for Woodiwiss. On the other hand, if you're looking for something well-written, I'd look elsewhere.

She is by far one of my favorite authors. Her characters come to life with a vividness I envy. Her historical information is mostly dead on and the characters she includes are picked from everyday life.

Kathleen is an exceptional writer who creates a plot that you don't always have it figured out before the end. A Rose in Winter is one that I truly enjoyed. Her main characters are not always what they appear to be. I love secretly knowing that they aren't and waiting for their co-characters to figure it out. I miss Kathleen, she has either retired or just slowed down.
