 | Limpin' Trenchfoot (18) 06/23/2006 | Clearly you people here know nothing about it. At an advanced level there's a helluva lot of skill involved especially in team formation work and sky surfing. I've not done that myself ye, but i've done 30 jumps and it's still a blast. Mind you it aint cheap and not something you can do every weekend unless you're loaded.

 | tocwelsh (2) 03/27/2005 | How can jumping from an aircraft be a sport, it'a amazing how people can place such a pastime as a sporting event, world war 2 paratroopers done the same thing,.........

 | MedgarEvers (15) 10/21/2001 | This is just like hang-gliding in the sense that I can dream about it now, thinking how much fun it would be just to fall and fly through miles of air, but I can also picture myself worrying and starting to back-out when the time comes. I just need someone to push me out of the helicopter when I need it.

 | Dorkavitch Chamalsky (0) 04/03/2001 | Call me boring, but the idea of jumping out of a plane confuses me. If I wanted to commit suicide, I wouldn't go to such elaborate lengths to perform the task.

 | CastleBee (85) 03/09/2001 | I don't know. I think I would need a much bigger margin for error. Just one mistake and it's aaaaaahhhhh splat!

 | Wiggum (17) 03/05/2001 | It seems strange to me to call this a sport, but, whatever it is, it's a unique experience and well worth trying at least once in your life. I've jumped twice - once on a static line (meaning the parachute opened automatically as soon as I jumped out of the plane), and once tandem (meaning I was basically strapped to the back of an instructor). Both experiences were great - the static line had the advantage of letting me be up there alone, which was especially cool after the noise of the opening chute stopped and all I could hear was the wind rushing past me as I looked down at my feet and nothing below them but air. And the tandem jump had the advantage of letting me experience free-fall, which was really a rush. I'd recommend this to anyone who thrives on new, unique experiences.
