I am neutral on her. I can't think of any of her roles that stand out with the possible exception of "Frida."

naturally pretty...one of the best lookin actresses today. i dont think she gets enough credit..since looks are such a prime focus in hollywood and always the topic of conversation, magazines, news, etc., i dont think shes considered enough and definitely should be. especially compared to some of the other so called "beauties" like linsday lohan, paris, even keira knightley and renee zellweger......those chicks arent half as good looking on their best days...she'd blow them out of the water even without make-up.

A stunning and very talented actress. But she is seriously lying about her age. In Mexico there are official records which date her to her late 40's. Really it only impressed me more!

Everyone says that she's so beautiful, but I don't see it. If anything, she's average, and she's not that great of an actress either.

After jumping off the screen in Desperado, Salma Hayek has played every type role imaginable in Hollywood, and played them all well. A GREAT actress, no question about it. Frida, for years her own special project, was deserving of much more box-office than it got. It won Oscars and Salma was incredible in it. If you don't care for her skill or her choice of roles, you still have to give her credit. She makes all her roles believable. And for those of you who had to play the race card, your opinions mean nill to those of us with more in mind than sex!

She IS a good actress. Who else could be Frida Kahlo so convincingly? She is also classy, and beautiful, and charming.

After seeing her in Frida, my respect for her went up a ton.

I will say an almost 4 for now. It is hard to rate her too much since I have only seen her in the movie Frida. She was very good in that movie. I can see she has some good potential.

The dumbest,ugliest,stupidest person ever. She tried to popular through movies noones ever heard of and then tries to get an oscar over the best actress ever, Nicole. The unibrow made her actually look a little better... she needs to take some acting lessons from the more talentes such as Nic,Angelina,or Catherine Zeta! Hayek is clearly an attractive woman, though not a beauty. But her attitude so takes away from that. She has a noxious better-than-you air about her that is positively stinky.

Salma Hayek is the BEST Latina actress in Hollywood! The best one to come along since Dolores Del Rio. She is a role model for aspiring Latina actresses because she is talented and gorgeous and takes only the roles she wants. However, it was dissapointing that she ever appeared in that stupid fil The Faculty and at the height of her career! What was she thinking? Of course, we loving fans forgave her because she's one in a million. She's Salma and we love her!

Salma's gorgeous I realize that but she's also talented and intelligent. If you like her then learn about her and look at all the hard work she's put into to seeing her dream film "Frida" completed. I don't believe Salma ever wanted to be the "bombshell" she's gotten the reputation for in movies. But you take the roles you're offered if you're a struggling actress and no one has opened doors for you. You just make the most of the opportunities you get. No, no don't cry her a river Salma's not complaining she's making things happen for herself now little by little. The truth is most of her "true fans" don't even know the truth about Salma. However, I read an interesting comment about Salma at one of the other message boards on this site someone said that Salma was “ethically moral” hmmm fans and detractors alike will never understand how true that comment was and sadly don’t seem to care.

Slema is quite the hottie. Also a decent actress. She should be in the top 10 and an inspiration to all of these other wannabe actresses.
