Actually incredibly talented. But due to poor choices or missed opportunities has not really shined up to her obvious potential. Could have been one of the "greats" (maybe it's not too late?).

She's cute looking, feisty and has presence which is more important than acting ability. Then again, there's little wrong with her acting anyway and is capable of tackling a broad range of roles from horror (The Grudge) to cartoon (Scooby Doo) to sexy lez (Cruel intentions)

In my opinion her acting as Buffy is superb. I wonder why she decided to act in Scooby doo but I like her. She's good looking and she's smart but I'm not really sure if she's smart with her choices of roles.

Hmm. Let's ignore her beauty for a moment and concentrate on her acting skills. She didn't impress me in Scooby-Doo. I've also watched a few eps. of Buffy and she seems average in that. I don't know why, but I also get the feeling that she's a bit of a b!**h in real life, which doesn't give her any points.

Buffy alone earns her 5 stars, but I have a pet peave. Why did she have to go blond? Aren't there enough in hollywood? There are so few brunette actresses at the top in her age group. I just resent that she fell into the trend. Scooby Doo was a bit of a let down for adults but she made up for it with The Grudge. The dangerous thing for her would be to take 2 bad roles in a row. I know we'll see more of her, I just hope it's good stuff. A Buffy movie wouldn't be a bad idea.

Sarah is not just a beautiful woman, she is also a very talented actress. She can play the cold hearted witch or she can be passionate. I've seen her in many movies and I am very impressed with her acting.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is absolutely amazing. I'm one of her biggest fans in the world and always will be. She is a versatile and very talented actress and gives very strong performances. While I loved watching her on Buffy I am looking forward to seeing more of her on the big screen. I am very excited about The Grudge as I am sure she will be superb in it. Not only is she a deciated and talented actress she is a wonderful and lovely person and a great role model.

I like Sarah Michelle and while I am not saying that she is award-winning or anything, her work really is enjoyable. The point of acting is to entertain and despite her critics, I feel she really accomplishes her goal. Who cares if she makes popular teen shows and movies? She makes the choices and I feel she performs her characters wonderfully. She is both talented and versatile and deserves credit for that.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a great show. Everybody else in the cast made the show. Sarah should have let them know that she was ending the show personally, instead of them all reading it in Entertainment weekly.

I think that Sarah Michelle Gellar is a great actor. I also think that she's really pretty.

You can tell she puts a hell of a lot into her acting and I am aware that is well documented. What I don't particularly like is her Hollywood way of smiling sweetly at the camera and saying what she has been told to say. She is intelligent as well as quite obviously beautiful so she should be allowed to carry herself naturally on camera to her fans. I've never met her but I did write to her and only got a reply from her fan club - bummer. Anyway, just being critical, sorry if I have offended anyone and I am also saddened about the end of Buffy - well, at least after series 3 when it stopped being any good......

SHOCKED that she is not considerably higher in the list. People say overrated when they simply don't like them. The fact that she never received Emmy nods for her work on Buffy shows just how UNDERrated she is. Strong, consistent, and often impressive she showed she towered above all others in the 'teen idol' crew (Katie Holmes, Jennifer Love Hewitt, etc). She expresses more in her eyes than most can in an hour long monolgue. I'm crushed that Buffy is now gone, but here is hoping that she will flourish in films ("Scooby-Doo2" notwithstanding - BLAH)

I loved Sarah for the first 3 seasons of Buffy, and then of course I have liked her acting in all of the movies she has starred in. I think she has a very promising future ahead of her. Now that Buffy has been cancelled, she needs to quit playing around and start doing more serious roles just like she did in Cruel Intentions. Which is her best film to date. And I think her sexiness is very underrated. She is a screen siren !

With all her films and roles, she just gets better and better. Out of the entire bundle of teen actors and actresses which occupy the movie screen today, she is definately above average. Pkuses (+): She does have range; she plays the good girl hero in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"; The snobby brat in "I Know What You Did Last Summer" to the conniving B*tch in "Cruel Intentions". Minuses (-): She has yet to hit her peak and show all of her true talents, but there is nothing really bad about this actress. She is talented, that is for sure. Not the best or funniest actress on the BUFFY (for flexibility and range I'd have to go with Alyson Hannigan, for pure natural technique I'd pick young Michelle Trachtenberg) but she sure gets the job done, and her soap opera experience seems to stand her in good stead during the more intense dramatic moments. To see what else she can do, rent CRUEL INTENTIONS and leave SCOOBY-DOO on the shelf.

Major Snugglebunny shows off rare physical gifts, polished dramatic and comedic skills, and a bright, bright future. Loses a point for being involved in too many trashy teen flicks with easy, paper-thin roles(I know What you Did Last Summer, Scooby-Doo, Simply Irresistable). Turned in a surprisingly sexy & layered performance in Cruel Intentions (1 rare teen flick that actually worked), and has become one of the finest actors on tv. Lets just hope she begins to choose moore quality material before she becomes a parody of herself. Go Buffy go!!! :=8D

Wonderful in Buffy but some of her films have been a bit on the average side. Still a loyal fan though.

I must admit-I'm a hardcore fan of Buffy! She makes every episode a little less boring and spices up that show with kick ass feminism, showing that guys aren't only the heroes. She has a great past of completed films, such as Cruel Intentions, which got me even hating her for a split second!!
