I knew barbara when she was 20 y/o. I was a bank teller for now citi bank at broadway & 40th street back in late 40s and she would come to me with night deposit bag and get rolls of coins from me. she was cute, very quiet, her favorite teller then was Larry and she always came at closing time (3pm) do you remember M's Walters. Barbara Walters is boring. She does better with the fluff celebrity interviews, but who really cares about that kind of stuff? She likes to endear herself to the subject; a good journalist has to be intimidating to a certain extent.

Regardless of her political leanings, Barbara Walters is hardly someone that I would consider to be a professional. She is abrasive and rude to her guests, and is quick to dismiss anyone with opposing viewpoints.

I do not care what the majority of people say about Barbara Walters, I think she is totally professional, a great interviewer, and one of the best in her field. I always enjoy watching her on television..especially when she puts someone on the spot. She can almost always get someone to answer a question that all of America wants to know about...a great news personality with a heart...

The absolute worst. An idiot. Dried-up old post-menopausal biddy with nothing in her head, nothing worthwhile to say. I remember when she was on the Today Show eons ago and I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out why she was on the air. I still can't. One of the lamest interviewers ever. Totally overrated, overpraised and certainly overpaid. With all the money she has, why doesn't she go to a speech coach and iron out that annoying lisp? Go figure: a broadcaster making millions a year, but has a severe speech impediment. And that show she owns a piece of, The View, is the most pointless and irritating bit of mental retardation currently broadcasting.

I never really watch her anymore. I actually watched her more often when she was on with Hugh Downs, on 20/20. That show was like geriatrics central.
