 | Automatt (42) 08/07/2008 | Kind of hard to believe that they still make these -- Very similar to Mike & Ikes but slightly more icky.

 | mtastic (9) 08/07/2008 | I believe the last time I had one of these I puked, or came extremely close to puking.
Of the two words in the title, only one is accurate. And it is not "Good."

 | edt4 (109) 06/06/2008 | Not terrible candy, especially if you like licorice, but not especially memorable either. Nothing that I as an adult want to go back and re-experience. Then again, if someone offered me a box of it, I wouldn't so no. More memorable than the candy was the TV-jingle they used to play, at least in the NY/NJ area, during the 1960's/1970's: "Charlie says...'Love my Good and Plenty'...Charlie says...'Really rings the bell'...Charlie says...'Love my Good and Plenty; don't know any other candy that I love so well.'" It's pathetic to say, but on my death-bed, I won't be able to remember my own name, but I'll remember that stupid jingle.

 | Calicat (0) 11/10/2005 | People either love them or hate them. I LOVE them! They are odd and the color scheme interesting...and the name leaves something to be desired...but I can eat a whole box in 15 minutes! =) I think reaction to Good n Plenty candy is linked somehow to one's personality. Everyone I think is cool shares my affinity towards the candy. I only surround myself with fellow G n P lovers!

 | Randyman (109) 03/05/2005 | They were good when I was a kid, but not anything I would eat now. Either they've changed or I have. Either way I really don't care for them anymore.

 | ummtobe (0) 08/28/2004 | I love good n plenty. One of my favorite candies since i was a child. I know (knew) the whole song, due to my father making my sisters and brothers sing it before we could get our treat. Great taste, if i began eating candy again i would buy some of these.

 | The_Decockster (0) 04/21/2003 | How can you not love Good 'n' Plenty? Delicious black licorice coated with a sweet candy shell... mmmmm... I wish I was eating 'em right now!

 | monkezuncle (0) 12/02/2002 | wow... in reading the other posters I sense some serious antimostiy to this candy. I'll admit it's not the greatest and if you dislike black licorice then you will not like it. Conversly however, the squish of the licorice goes well with the crunch of the candy and the flavor pairs mix well. Granted that I have to be in the mood to eat them but they do hit the spot.

 | Shroomwoman (13) 08/01/2001 | Good & Plenty is really getting trashed here! That's too bad because I think it's based more on the fact that people dislike black licorice than on the merits of the candy. I am a big fan of black licorice, and I really like Good & Plenty. The sweet outer coating is the perfect balance to the bitter, chewy, black licorice inside. I admit that the colors leave a bit to be desired, but who cares? If you're a fan of black licorice, you'll probably agree with me.

 | SamIAm (5) 07/30/2001 | I can't even believe that they still make this garbage. Not only is the taste and texture disgusting..the whole color scheme is harsh and unappealing. The pink, white and black pellets of too sweet candy shell covering the nasty black licorice flavor are the worst invention EVER. The gaudy purple box doesn't do anything for me either. All in all this is the worst "candy" ever made.

 | afterglow70 (1) 06/12/2001 | This is one of my favorites. Although if I eat a whole box, I feel like my tounge is a bit numb from it. You have to really like black licorice though to like these.

 | callmetootie (5) 04/06/2001 | Yuck! When I want licorise, I want twizzlers, not little jelly bean capsule looking things filled with gray gel. This candy tastes like chalk and it only appeals to those who are on a crash diet, and don't mind having major bathroom problems.

 | Kazaam (0) 12/15/2000 | My least favorite candy because I hate the taste of black licorice. It is not a candy that I would recommend to the average sweet tooth because it is a very bland product. I would recommend something sweeter like Mike and Ike's.

 | q0182 (0) 12/15/2000 | I hate Good and Plenty. When I put it in my mouth it tastes like eating a pill. They are really nasty, especially the bubble gum flavor. It actually tastes like there is plastic in my mouth!!

 | pokey8 (0) 12/14/2000 | I made a big mistake when I decided to try this candy. As if it's bad enough that it tastes like black licorice, you can't get the crap out of your teeth.

 | PJPJ (0) 11/22/2000 | Good and Plenty taste so bad. Even though I hate black licorice, that's not what made them so nasty. It's that they smell horrible and taste fifteen years old.

 | buddyhead (0) 11/17/2000 | First of all the name "Good & Plenty" irritates me. It's too long and gramatically incorrect. "N" by itself is trashy and I suggest a "&" sign. This candy is terrible. Black licorice alone is gross. To add a stale candy coating in colors like white and pink does nothing for its desirability. They need to find a way for the coating not to crumble when you try to chew it. Candy coating and sticky licorice do not work well.

 | alicat (3) 06/29/2000 | Horrible candy. The box in unappealing, the colors are gross, and the idea of black licorice makes me sick. Just plain wrong.

 | Shafty (2) 06/26/2000 | The fruity flavored ones are OK. The licorice flavored ones are unacceptable in color and in taste.
