Her new show is a breath of fresh air.  She is well-informed and pleasant and professional toward all her guests. The facts that she is also a woman, a liberal, and gay, in this day and age, does not make her a polarizing figure.  I should also mention that she is not a politician.  She does not fit the category.

There are few people in the media I can stand less than Rachel Maddow.

Not as telegenic as Olberman, but at least as irresponsibly and unethically partisan as anyone on television.  When MSNBC put her on the air with her own show, they essentially said, "look, we're liberal, and we're gonna be as goddamned liberal as we want to be.  Because in this country, liberal bias sells.  Cha-CHING!  Who's gonna stop us? "
