07/17/2003 | Enjoy his reports, likes to get into the meat of a report and get at the truth. I disagree that he would be good on Fox News, as he is too honest, and doubt he would agree with the very conservative 'spin' of Fox News, he actually WOULD be fair and balanced, and that would put him at odds with his bosses!
Does seem like he is not friendly with Barbara Walters however, seems a tad nasty to her on air.

04/23/2003 | John Stossel would be a great fit for Fox News. He claims to be a straight shooter, but he is clearly a man who says "How high?" when corporations tell him to jump. After being exposed for lying and factual distortion in a piece over GM foods, he clearly has no creditability as a journalist and should not be given any TV time really. Why is he still on the air? Because he specializes in telling corporations and right wing AynRand wackos what they want to hear. If he was really honest, he would have been whacked right after the GM foods story.

Accuracy in Media recently pointed out a number of factual misstatements and flat out lies that he represented as fact in his last television special. I'd like to give him a break...right across his whiny little peevish lying mouth.

06/08/2000 | The only contrarian, non-statist investigative reporter in the U.S. It seems that every other reporter gets its talking point from government bureaucracies. Stossel started his career like that, but then had the intellectual honesty to start questioning the usual enviro and consumer safety scare stories. He's doing incredibly important work...
