I really like her but her strategy was stupid after the merge

One of the select few people that can be proud of how they played the game. She might not have been the most strategic player ever, but survivor was new at that point and the game was developing, so the alliance definitely caught her off guard. Very nice lady

I dont have nothing against her or anything I just dont understand what made her so likeable. She seemed very blah to me.

She played a good game and was voted off to early. That is the problem when you are a key player. She should be proud of the way she played the game.

She's an ok person, but not very smart when it came to noticing what else besides survival skills that is demanding but also wit. She was selfish for not voting together with pagong.

Ah, Gretchen... she was the best Survivor on the show. She was nice and a hard worker... too bad she was unable to predict the alliance that Rich devised. Of course, this was before that idea came to... they weren't expecting it for the first Survivor. Gretchen, the should-be winner!

Gretchen was awesome. I don't really remember her saying anything mean or insulting. Overall, she's a kind person that I would love to meet someday.

One of the few who played the game without deception or trickery and didn't judge how others played.

The first threat to suffer the dreaded alliance of the Tagi tribe. She could have gone all the way. A real good survivor. Great personality, good skills and good interpersonal skills. She had a lot of patience with BB

Loved her - the real winner if this was a true Survival contest. The only one the rest cheered for when she left in support - the heart and soul of Pagong!

I really thought Gretchen would win the whole thing. But, like her, I fell into the trap of assuming that the person most likely to win would be the person who combined real survival skills with a likable personality. Clearly Gretchen was shocked when she was voted off so early, and so was I. We failed to anticipate Rich's machiavellian alliance, with its goal of voting off the non-alliance members most likely to pose a threat. Gretchen, of course, was at the top of the list, so she was the alliance's first victim. Too bad - she seemed like a nice lady, and someone who really had the skills necessary to survive under harsh conditions. On the bright side, she was pretty much spared the apalling sight of Richard's bare ass as he paraded around the island in his birthday suit. That may have been worth a million dollars to her.
