Very nice lady, too bad she got the axe so quickly, but it was probably inevitable. She might not have won, but she's still a survivor and can be prouder of how she played the game than most of the people who won the game.

She is a cancer survivor already and she decided to be on the show even though she was over 60. That is already impressive. Unfortunetely she was voted out early. We did not have the chance to get to know her better. But I liked her.

Sonja was brave to take on such a challenge after breast cancer surgery. It was unfortunate she was voted off so early.

The only unfortunate thing about "survivor" besides Richard winning was that Sonja left us so soon! She showed a lot of heart, grace, and neat character. Very sweet lady and talented musician whose only misfortune was that she wasn't able to compete in a very demanding challenge, but that shouldn't dictate how she should be perceived. If I was camping or in a Survivor skills course, I'd take Sonja on my team anytime, if nothing else, for her wonderful personality and team-focused spirit. Recall how she told the tribe to "Go get 'em you guys" at Tribal Council right after Jeff snuffed our her flame? She could've been a sore or bitter loser (like we saw in Sue later) but she showed true grace even in defeat!

Sonja, you gave a good name for the elderly with your appearance on Survivor. You were the only one over 50 who seemed like a genuinely nice person--even when you were voted off, you understood why, and you still supported them. You tried to survive, and that's more than I'd do!

Sonja's a very sweet lady. Even though she got voted off first, I think she deserves 5 stars for her wonderful personality.

Unfortunate to be the first one voted off because she fell. She was cute with her ukelele, would have liked to see more of her character.

Sure, she was a nice lady, but couldn't she have just spent the weekend in Nantucket instead?

Too bad for Sonja there wasn't a baking contest or some needlepoint...She no doubt is a nice lady, but in a couple of weeks they would have been eating her...

Poor Sonja seemed like a nice lady, but she was clearly not cut out for life on the island - especially when you consider that most of the challenges are physically demanding. That footage of her biffing during the first challenge was just wrong. Here's this old woman trying to run in the surf while holding up part of a heavy object, and she just face-plants into the water and sand. Time to pack up the banjo and go home.
