phillies are my TEAM go phillies P.S. BORN IN PHILLIE

I am a Phillie phan who has indeed suffered many a year of bad baseball and crushing onslaughts of media coverage kissing the ass of New York teams, the Cubs, the Dodgers and the media-darlings extrodinare Red Sox. . .but I must tell the truth- this low-rated World Series, which was very important to me, will not be much of a sports story this year.  The 'lovable losers' cateogory has been (by the east-coast media machine) transplanted from Boston to Chicago in the last few years and the Phillies (despite having a solid team and a great finish - AND a quirky World Series) will fade as a sports story. This is a pure mind-over-heart rating. . .

Props to Philly....They were the better team.  A bunch of good guys on that team.  CONGRATS!

Somewhere, Tug McGraw is jumping around.  Maybe having a celebratory beer with Whitey Ashburn.  This has been a long time coming.

The second championship in Phillies history, coming 28 years after the first one, beating the Rays, the good-times story of the year. Good story, decent series.
