 | redskins1 (0) 07/28/2008 | Let me just say in his prime Dick was one of the better announcers but now he is getting to old for his job.

 | disgust4PCness (19) 10/05/2007 | Miserable and boring...how does he keep his job? His announcing during the 2007 NLDS (Cubs vs Dbacks) is a perfect example. He may have been IN the booth, but I don't think he really was. He certainly didn't know what he was speaking about 1/2 the time. Ron Darling (his partner for the series) made some references...and all the viewing audience got from Stockton..."you could say that again"..."no doubt"...etc...he was clueless. Maybe he was drunk, I don't know. But it was so difficult listening to him.

 | X Factor Z (16) 02/06/2007 | One of the best ever, I just love him, his personality, sense of humor, voice, broadcast with him and Siragusa are fun, lively and entertaining, he is far superior to that wus Jack Buck.

 | BadgerAl (0) 02/21/2006 | He's the most boring announcer ever. during the seattle-ny giants game in overtime he kept droning on and on about there being a tie at the end of overtime if neither team scores. of course none of the guys on fox are any good.

 | JohnSpina (18) 02/12/2006 | A low key knowledgeable voice for football. Is the #2 voice on Fox.I also like the "Moose" Daryl Johnston.Am not too crazy about Siragusa, though.

 | gobolts (0) 12/27/2005 | Too wishy washy to ever be considered with the elite of the profession.
He is not good at football, better at basketball.
To me he has just never been real likeable. Pretty bland.

 | ellis (2) 04/01/2005 | Very good voice, but not quite up there with Vin Scully, Brent Musberger, Dick Enberg, Curt Gowdy, and the like.

 | Wavebacker (27) 12/20/2004 | Solid , veteran announcer. I dont like his voice and dont particularly like the way he calls a game, but he is a gamer and does do a professional job.

 | jpern24 (0) 11/29/2004 | Hes ok, but very overrated. not close to the elite group of announcers. tollerable, but no one i would choose to do a game

 | pjplace197 (0) 08/25/2004 | Dick Stockton is one of the best play by play callers of all time. He can call Football, Basketball, and Baseball games very accurately. He should FOX's #1 play by play caller, but FOX had to choose a guy who got into play calling because of his father.

 | gopman79 (2) 11/03/2003 | Dick Stockton, while not being a very charismatic personality, gives you one of the best broadcasts on Sunday because of his accuracy and his subtle approach to calling a game. He may not be exciting, but he tells it like it is, which is the important.

 | Wally Ballou (0) 04/26/2003 | Among Fox's NFL voices, Stockton just might be my favorite. Sure, he's not as glib as Joe Buck, or as venerable as Pat Summerall, or gifted with an impressive set of pipes like Kenny Albert, or as good at the nuts and bolts of play-by-play as Sam Rosen. But for more than two decades Stockton has been providing solid, meat-and-potatoes description on Sunday afternoons for NFL regulars. He doesn't try to be cute, or kid himself that fans are tuning in for him rather than the game. And he's had a tendency to bring out the best in his partners, from Matt Millen a few years back to Moose Johnston today.

 | newswatcher (0) 04/07/2003 | I like Dick Stockton. He's an old pro. How can you not like that voice! He takes his job seriously. He's well prepared for EVERY game he calls. And he can call anything. Stockton is solid. Much more informative than Marv Albert. A little more serious than Kevin Harlan. He works the numbers in to his call in a good way. He doesn't bog me down with useless numbers.

 | angusmacpherson (0) 03/23/2003 | Mr. Milquetoast and the King of Generalizations: EVERY freaking time a football team gets to their opponents' 30-yard line, it's automatically within their kicker's field goal range, according to Dickie. Must be his lucky number or something...
