 | oscargamblesfro (76) 07/20/2007 | Although he kinda looks like Barney Rubble, I've got nothing for- or against- the guy either way. I have to agree with Loerke though, I get tired of the phony quest for truth and goodness and all the other sanctimonious 'do- gooderism' on 'Outside the Lines'- it's presented as if Ley should dress up as a knight on a white horse complete with armor and a lance, as if he were Galahad, Percival, or a pre- affair Lancelot...

 | TheBoxer (0) 03/12/2007 | ESPN is an example of something which was good but has grown into a monster. Too often they try to influence or create news, not what jornalism is supposed to be. Bob Lee, on the other hand, has not changed. He's the only member of ESPN which I fully respect and believe. If I were a sports character, he would be the only one I would allow to interview me.

 | Loerke (46) 01/15/2007 | Treats even the most ridiculously insignificant sports story about your local high school curling squad with a misdirected journalistic care better reserved for the Cuban Missile Crisis. We don't need any more of Ley's hour-long reports with titles like "The Crisis of the White Athlete." A complete bore.

 | TracerBuIIet (0) 11/15/2005 | I love Bob Ley and think that he is an exceptional reporter and journalist. But then I stumbled upon a story about him using his show to fulfill his almost nymphomaniacal craving for women. Now my faith has been shaken. But Outside the Lines is still a classy, quality show.

 | chuck fisk (0) 11/03/2005 | Bob Ley's "Outside the Lines" is some of the best sports television journalism available today. So much better than
the superficial flash and dash of many of the "new breed"!

 | McGowan (2) 07/31/2005 | If even half of the ESPN anchors were like him , ESPN would still be bearable to watch. Less stuart scotts/kenny maines/ and more Bob Leys and Dan Patricks.

 | RPAHousTEX (0) 07/31/2005 | Bob is very articulate, charismatic and VERY CREDIBLE. He also has a great voice. Easily the best Sportscaster on Television. I wish he had more Air Time. I love watching his show

 | yankzrule235 (0) 04/19/2005 | His show has always brought new views and new stories. His show is watered down now though, because its on 5 days a week. I liked it better when it was bi weekly or weekly, but its still great. he does a great job.

 | mtbmlb (6) 03/03/2005 | Has a tremendous voice and a tremendous impact on sports, but I don't really believe if Outside The Lines can attract a lot of interest.

 | sportsgeek (0) 01/28/2005 | An actual journalist covering sports? How'd that happen?

 | Alexg681 (1) 01/04/2005 | Bob Ley is very good. He's been there forever and still should be doing SportsCenter. But I guess ESPN just doesn't want someone as professional as him and without the stupid phrases and sound effects doing SportsCenter.

 | SJSU (0) 06/02/2003 | I was suprised to see Ley so low on the list. Maybe folks are too used to seeing ex-jocks doing sports. Ley is an actual journalist. A rarity. "Outside The Lines" is easily the best sports program on TV. No hype, no bombast, just the story. What a novel concept.

 | ellajedlicka21 (5) 04/07/2002 | His show "Outside the Lines" on ESPN is cool. It explores topics in sports that would normally not be addressed by Sportscenter or any other sports program.

 | Munson (7) 04/04/2000 | He seems so out of place at ESPN, but that is what makes him so good. He does a nice job with the Outside the Lines series.
