I know what Lance is talking about when it comes to the errors in the Rose Bowl. He has generally become more prone to this type of thing since he came back from retirement. However, the man just has too much personality that is unique to be anything less than five stars.

Greatest College Football Announcer ever. So many unforgettable calls and so knowledgeable of the game. ABC will really miss Keith when he finally retires.

Jackson and Fouts were absolutely horrible last night during the Rose Bowl- I would like to think they were drunk because it was that bad. They repeatedly screwed up how much time was on the clock, said there were flags when no were thrown, said time outs were called when it was actually penalties, said the ball was fumbled when it wasn't, claimed White hadn't fumbled when he had, had no clue that the player needs to have possession of the ball when hitting the ground and the ball pops out to be an interception (if a player flies through the air, catches it and it pops out as he hits the ground that IS NOT an interception)... and the list goes on and on. Someone please tell me when this guy was any good... because I can't remember.

Keith Jackson sounds biased for teams from the West Coast because that is where he is from and those are the games he covers. Its only natural that he will come off speaking on them a lot more, considering he knows more about that team than the other. He still has a great voice that is one of the most recognizable in sports broadcasting. I would like to hear him calling games as long as he is able to.

Keith Jackson should be inducted into the Football Hall of Fame, but his time is over. Each and every game I have listened to his commentary the last couple of seasons exemplifies the fact his time has passed. Additionally, his commentary is usually biased toward teams on the west coast.

I happened to listen to the broadcast of the ND/Stanford game and thought Keith Jackson did a terrible job. He really has lost his touch. Also the comment he made about the upcoming Colorado/Texas game was very unprofessional and deserves an apology. It is time for him to step down he has lost his grasp of broadcasting and what the game means.

He makes way too many mistakes, especially in the heat of the game and in particular on completions, interceptions, and incompletions. I feel sorry for Dan Fouts having to constantly correct him. He should have retired many years ago.

Keith Jackson was once the best. But Keith, RETIRE ALREADY!!!! He was supposed to retire 6 years ago. His last game was going to be the National Championship Game when Tennessee beat Florida State. Everyone was saying goodbye Keith, but good old Keith didn't go anywhere, and is still going 6 years later, and man does he stink. He makes so many mistakes every game, just retire already.

Past his prime. A legend in his time but that time has past. Listening to one of his current broadcasts is truly painful - constantly hunting for and stumbling over his words.

The voice of college football and of sports in America, Keith Jackson brought the raw, and pure broadcasting talent, to the American public in outstanding order. I don't care if a 25 year old knows the plays better, were lucky people like Keith, stick around and enjoy their career well into retirement years.

classic, but totally unneeded as an announcer, other than his voice, added nothing to the game.

Jackson is a legend, but I was never a big fan of his Jackson has bias towards the west coast and every chance he can cuts down teams especially the Big XII.

Miserable. This is a guy who couldn't see Woody Hayes deck that player from Clemson in the face back in the 70s. Gee Frank, I'm not sure what happened down there. He should hang 'em up for good.

No one can do a broadcast like Mr. Jackson. From my youth to present day, I hung on every word to come from his mouth. There will never be another like him. He is to college football what Edward R Morrow was to news coverage

Keith was horrible, back in '88, he called an incomplete pass only to find out that griese said, "Interception!" Keith didn't say a word til Notre Dame scored on the pickoff and muttered, "Rumblin tumblin touchdown Smgala Notre Dame, no flags!" No flags, I know he hates Notre Dame, but he shows it too much in his commentary

I can't stand Keith's cryptic comments during his coverage of his own almamater school. Does he really hate his old school, or is he just over compensating, so people won't think he's one sided. Anyway, as Cougar, I regret to admit that Jackson is an Alumn.

People have to learn to let go. The guys announcing days came and went years ago, but for traditions sake people keep this old joker miked. He knew it was time to retire and he did. Its too bad he couldn't find happiness in retirement and came back. Its time to get some new blood in there and stop holding onto the past.
