I hate it when John McCain comes over to my house because he complains about everything. We usually isolate him at the 'kids table' where he is content eating fruitcake and listening to Berl Ives.

This is what general breaks up our holiday festivities so it is off limits at our gatherings. If you break this rule get timed out.

I don't have any liberals in my family, so this is not an issue.

Yes. I have a calcified fossil of an uncle who was quite literate and well-read on political issues. . .as of 1973. With every Vodka he gets louder. ..

Don't have to worry about this one. There's no one else in our family that's even remotely interested in politics. "Current Events" to them refers to the latest nasty gossip about one family member or another. I wouldn't be surprised if my husband and I are the only ones who actually vote on Election Day. ( . . . and, no, I don't bring up politics at family functions)

This would be my (Democrat Dad). This is why my mom over-medicates him around holiday season.
