Even worse for the people who work there.

It's actually quite refreshing, and sets the mood. There are some good tunes out there, performed by various artists. Bring them on!

Most of it is rather poorly performed. I'd assume have a simple brass ensemble for Christmas tuneage or possibly the Trans-Siberian Orchestra...

Depending on what song and who is singing (butchering) it.

I don't mind it so much in the week before Christmas, but I object to hearing it the day after Halloween. And I object to shite like "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" no matter when I hear it.

Actually I don't mind Christmas music in the stores at all. But hearing one more rendition of "dashing through the snow" will send me dashing out the door.

Mrs Wise had this shit on the other day, if I didn't like my HK system so much, I would have blew it to hell.

I agree that this is annoying, but does anyone else notice that some radio stations are starting to play holiday music much earlier, like 3 weeks before Thanksgiving? Some believe that playing this music gets people in the mood to go shopping. With consumers rapidly becoming more thrifty in their spending habits, retailers have to find ways to drum up demand. Playing Christmas music a little earlier might just do the trick! Hey, they might even keep playing Christmas music through Easter just to keep people buying!!

It depends on the date. I like hearing Christmas music after about Dec. 15 or so. But it's just ridiculous when it's already being played non-stop by the day after Thanksgiving. But it seems to get worse every day. I was flipping through the radio stations this morning (Nov. 3), and one of the stations was already playing Christmas music!

I agree by December 25 I get tired of hearing it everywhere I go.Is it just me or does every top 40 radio station play it now? But when it first starts after thanksgiving I love it..I can understand people getting tired of it if that is all they hear.

its not so much the music playing in the store as much as it is that it continues to play in my head after i leave and i catch myself singing it off and on the rest of the day.
