It's a decent enough drink, easy to make, and you can make it as weak or strong as you'd like. Of course with all that orange juice, I wouldn't recommend drinking more than two or three in one night. Back in college one of my friends discovered something rather dangerous. Apparently if you add some triple sec to the mix, you can add a lot more vodka without anyone being able to taste it. She of course didn't bother to tell us this until after everyone in the room had already drank several of the pre-mixed screwdrivers that she brought to the party in gallon jugs.

This is a cocktail you make if all you have in your house is a bottle of vodka from last night's party and some OJ leftover from breakfast. It works in a bind.

Screwdrivers are decent. I think the fact that they contain OJ is a huge draw. You not only deplete your body of nutrients but you also replenish them all at once, lol! However, they are a decent drink where you only need 2 ingredients to make them!

Screw drivers are pretty damn good, but then again, anything with orange juice is bound to taste yummy. Some prefer their screw driver sans pulp, I, on the other hand, prefer it. I like the little bits of chewy orange and vodka after downing one of these dad boys. Please spread your drinking out and dont act stupid by getting behind the wheel of a car after a night on the town!

The Screwdriver is a classic. If you are going to consume alcohol, why not get a little vitamin C in the mix? I am not the biggest orange juice fan in the world, but when it is fresh squeezed, it is especially delicious. Though, all in all, I'd prefer fresh squeezed OJ with champagne in a mimosa in the morning as opposed to a screwdriver.

When I turned 18 and started going to NY to bars, this was my first "offficial"  drink.  I love orange juice in the morning and can handle it later with vodka, but my love is the grapefruit juice. (see salty dog and greyhound).  I do occasionally still drink a screwdriver at home but never order them out.

I haven't had one in years. It's o.k. if you have been on a three year cruise and scurvy is a problem among the crew.

Simple and easy to make. Healthy too I suppose, with all that orange juice

I might be in the minority, but I hold that vodka drinks, by definition, suck. A screwdriver is tolerable, though. Often one of the first drinks you learn to make in college.

A drink you can find at any bar or restaurant. 1 part vodka, 4 parts fresh orange juice, pour over ice, stir. Ahhhh. I like to use the Minutemaid (not from concentrate) low-acid O.J. if I don't have enough good oranges. Use vodka at least one shelf up from the bottom. Seagram's or Smirnoff are plenty good.

Forget orange juice and vodka. What do you get when you mix O.J. and Milk of Magnesia? . . . A Phillips Screwdriver.

I like a screwdriver on cold Saturday mornings with a chunck of plain, homeade pound cake. Nothing tastes better!

The old standby. These are good if you don't has a physical adversion to orange juice. Actually, I prefer a grapefruit screwdriver, which I also believe is called a "Donald Duck." Use 100 proof vodka, and voila: you'll be plastered in no time.

Like other mixed drinks it is a mixture of alcohol and juice. The orange juice makes the drink more tasty. The after taste is not bad. It tastes good.

Classic Vodka drink. Tastes like orange juice, can hardly taste the vodka. Very good and orangy, if that is a word. Yes, I drink these all the time.

A good cheap drink to make at home. Equal parts vodka and orange juice. Can be made cheap (Popov) or nicely (Stoli). Recommended mix is Tampico Citrus Blend instead of orange juice. This will keep the drink strong, but still drinkable.

Nothing wrong with a screwdriver but I can't remember the last time I had one. I certainly can't remember the last time I even heard someone order one in a bar.

In High School, I got very sick from drinking screwdrivers. So much so, that whenever my dad had OJ at the dinner table for about a year afterwards, my stomach would turn.

Simple to make, easy to enjoy. We used to love making this while sitting on the spillway at Toledo Bend when I was still a young drinking kid.

Back to the basics! Forget trendy versions of Martinis and other so-called sophisticated drinks. When you wake up hung over and need a little hair of the dog, where are you gonna turn? Get that Vitamin C along with your poison!
