It started out as a horrendously lowbrow strip and if anything, it has declined since the days when Dale Messick's art exerted an almost terrifying fascination.

Long, drawn-out, uninteresting plots.

It's been around forever and was worth a read. Brenda was always a foxy dame. I always liked red-heads.

I swear that the person writing this strip occasionally loses track of the plot she's writing about. Characters change motivation without warning, and nothing flows quite properly. I give it an extra star for being well-drawn and creative in that respect, but in terms of plot - feh.

Brenda Starr should have been a comic book, not a comic strip. It would have made a great graphic novel series. It's not the funny type of comic strip. It's sort of a drama going on with someone's life.

Badly drawn, old fashioned, irrelevant

Pretty great. Like a superhero-type comic strip.

The only thing worse than reading this cartoon would be going to see the Brooke Shields movie. Either option would be torture.
